The High Life. The final stretch

Chapter 69

Friday 21st April. Lego land.

The kids got back from school at just gone half 3. Because there was so many of us and Ben was coming with us he was taking his car with Lilly, Casper and Jessie with him and we were taking Blake, Evie and Grace.

"You ready?" I shouted up the stairs the kids were getting a travel bag together. To give them something to do while in the car well Casper and Jessie were. Blake, Evie and Grace could watch a movie in our car. This didn't bother the boys because they were going with Lilly and Ben and it meant they would spend the whole journey singing at the top of their voices.

"Yeah." They all came running down the stairs

"Good." I said

We got the cars parked up and set off.

It only took us just over an hour to get there. Lilly, Ben, Casper and Jessie were in one room and me, Connor, Blake, Grace and Evie in another.

All of us now pretty hungry we put our things in our rooms and went to get something to eat in the park. The park doesn't close until 8 so we had something to eat then had a go on some of the rids.

The weekend was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed it. Jessie and Grace both had a wonderful time. We went on as many rides as we could and some of them we went of twice. All the kids had saved up their pocket money for the last couple of weeks so that they could buy something before we left. Evie wanted a Lego patterned dress, I wasn't going to argue with her. Jessie, Casper, Blake and Grace all brought Lego sets. Lilly also brought a Lego set but her Lego set was a lot bigger than what the others had brought. It's the night bus from Harry Potter.

"That's so cool." Casper said

"Yeah it is." Lilly said smiling

"Ready to go home?" I said

"Yeah." They all said

"Good come on then." I said and we headed home.

"Did you have a good time?" Charlotte was at ours when we got home she'd been looking after squirt.

"Yeah it was a lot of fun thank you." I said carrying a fast asleep Evie into the house.

"You putting her straight in bed?" Con said

"Yeah." I said heading up the stairs

I came back down 10 minutes later and the kids including Lilly were all sat at the table starting their Lego sets. Ben had gone home.

"Guys. It's nearly time for bed. You're not going to get them done before bed." I said

"But there so cool." Casper said

"I know Casper. But you have school tomorrow and I don't want it to be a battle in the morning to get you all up. Come on early night, Casper, Grace, Blake and Jessie up to bed please." I said they all huffed at me and went up to bed. I went up after them to make sure they all went to bed.

"Night guys." I said closing their bedroom doors.

"Night mum." They said

I went down stairs and Lilly was still at the table doing her Lego set and filming it for her YouTube channel. She'd finally got it up and going and it was doing really well. She spent a lot of her time filming and editing when she wasn't doing course work.

Half an hour later she'd put together nearly all the night bus but was getting tied so went up to bed.

"Night sweet heart." I said smiling

"Night mum." She said

"See you in the morning." I said

"Yeah." Lilly said and she went to bed.
