The High Life. The final stretch

Chapter 56

Lilly's POV

3rd August. LA. We arrived at the band house late. Staying at the band house is always fun because the band house has a pool and it's nice to spend time in it when it's hot. 

"Right bed kids." Mum said

"night mum." I said taking my bag up to mine and Ben's room

"Night sweet." Mum said

Me and Ben went up to bed.

"looking forward to the shows here?" Ben asked as we got into bed.

"Yeah I think." I said

"What's playing on you mind?" Ben asked

"Well last time we were here, I ended up in hospital." I said

"Yeah. But that's not going to happen this time." Ben said

"Yeah." I said

"Just remember to take you epi-pen everywhere." Ben said he was smiling

"Thanks." I said grinning

The following morning me, Ben and Casper were up early we all wanted to go into town to do a bit of shopping.

"See you later mum." I shouted she was in the kitchen making breakfast for Evie, Blake and the twins

"See you later. We'll be over at the arena from about 12 so come over whenever you're done." Mum said

"Where you going Lilly?" dad said just as I was about stand on my Wizboard and head out the door.

"I'm going out with Ben and Casper." I said

"Have you got your epi-pen?" Dad asked

"Yep." I said

"Can I see?" Dad said

"Yeah." I said pulling from my bag my Epi-pen.

"Ben you know what to do yeah?" Dad said looking at Ben

"Yeah." Ben said

"Can I......"

"Connor....." Mum said her head appearing round the kitchen door.

"I'm just making sure." Dad said

"Both Casper and Ben know. Leave them alone." Mum said

"But....."

"Connor. Come on she learnt her lesson last time we were here."  Mum said

"But." Dad said

"Bye dad." I said heading out the door.

"Lilly-Anna." Dad shouted but whizzing down the hill on my Wizboard I just ignored him.

"honestly." I said to Ben and Casper as we got to the bottom of the hill.

"He worries too much." Casper said

"Yeah he does." I said

"He's just making sure you're okay." Ben said Me and Casper looked at him

"What. He's obviously concerned. You said it yourself last night last time you were here you ended up in hospital. He wants to make sure that doesn't happen again." Ben said

"Who's side are you on here?" I said

"Yours of course. But he has his reason for being concerned." Ben said I didn't say anything, Ben was right, but I didn't want him to 'get a big head'.

We spent most of the morning whizzing around on our Wizboards but at half 12 we headed over to the arena for lunch, instead of having to pay for lunch out. Food at venues wasn't that bad anyway.
