The High Life. The final stretch

Chapter 14

Over the next couple of weeks, I tried so very hard to push the thought of my grandma out of my brain and towards work. Sadly, it had now been confirmed that there would no longer be I'm a celebrity which really upset me I had really enjoyed doing it with George but it was to be replaced with a talk show hosted by George and I.

The kids were enjoying being back at school. As Grace was now at school Connor only had Blake at home. So it meant that Connor could spend some time with Blake and go for days out with him which made Connor very happy. He could have the father son relationship again he missed so much of Casper's childhood so Connor did a bit of spoiling of Blake which was rather funny to watch. After clearing out some of the kids toys. We had all decided to re paint the house and do it up it hadn't been done since we had moved in. I needed something to do before filming started for mine and George's new chat show started which unconventionally was called Rhianne and George take over Saturday. Which I thought was stupid. George didn't like it that much either. But that was the only thing they could think up. I was hoping they would change it and for what I had heard there might be another name.

So to keep me busy until the filming started in the middle of November. I had decided to take on the transformation of the house on to keep me busy. Ashton, Charlotte, Luke, Michael and James when he wasn't busy had said they would all help. Connor would spend all day at the label sometimes with sometime without Blake and me and the others would redecorate the house.

We decided to started with Lilly's and Grace's room as they needed the updating the most. So Lilly had moved in with Casper and Grace was now in with Blake. Lilly had asked for a built in bed a bit like a cabin bed and to this I agreed. I wanted to take Lilly and Grace shopping to get some new bits for their rooms. Most of their furniture in their rooms had been sold or given away. So there was very little now in their rooms.

Middle of September.

Now the weekend I was taking Lilly and grace out to get some new things for their rooms. Mostly to get their new beds. Which really excited them both.

"Lilly-Anna." I shouted up the stairs

"Coming." She said coming down from Caspers room.

"Grace." I shouted into the garden.

"Coming mum." She said coming into the house.

Together we headed for Ikea.

"Hello." The woman that was stood by the kids beds.

"Hello." I said smiling

"Are you look for anything particular?" she asked

"Yeah. New beds for these two." I said

"Very well. Do you have a budget?" She asked

"no not really. We need some other bits as well. But I don't want something that's going to last them only a year. I want something that they want but also that's going to last." I said

"Very well come this way." The woman said

We enjoyed a good 2 hours looking at and try out new beds for Lilly and Grace. Which they both enjoyed. When they had finally picked we went to get some other bits for their room. The bed Lilly had picked was rather grown up. She had also picked 2 new book case for her books. She had so many books now that she needed some more shelves for them to live on and Lilly had read 90% of them so I had said that when we had finished I would take her to Waterstones to get some new books. Grace had picked a bed fit for a little girl. Pretty and pink and it looked a bit like a princess castle with a slide which really excited Grace and made her very giddy. When we had finished shopping at Ikea and I had got a few more bit for the kitchen. A new knife and folk set, some new plates and bowls and 2 new outfits for Oscar and Luna. We left and headed for the centre of London and to Waterstones. Lilly picked up 4 new books and Grace picked up a couple of new books as well she also had a love for books and loved listening to Lilly read and I had found a few times the pair of them sat on Lilly's bed reading for hours on end. The boys liked books but not as much as the girls.

We got home just before dinner Connor was cooking with Casper and Jessie.

"Something smells good." I said walking into the kitchen
"Thanks." They said I smiled

"Get what you needed?" Connor said

"Yeah. We also got some paint as well to paint the rooms. That's tomorrow job. Lilly wants to help. So we're going to paint the rooms tomorrow and then the beds are arriving on Tuesday while the kids are at school." I said

"Sounds good." Connor said smiling

The following day we painted Lilly's room white ready for her bed coming on Tuesday. Then we painted Grace's room pink ready for her bed. We couldn't do anything until the beds arrived so we couldn't put the books cases or the wardrobe that had been taken down to paint the room.

Tuesday lunch time while the kids were at school. James, Ashton, Michael, Luke and Calum all came round to help me put up the beds for the girls. It took us the best part of 3 days to put up both beds. When it was done Ashton and James stuck around to help get everything else up. Lilly had said that nothing was to be put back in her room without her because it all had a place and her books were going on to the book shelves in alphabetical order. Everything had been moved back into Grace's room. So she was back in her room and she loved it. I had come up stairs a couple of times in the evening to find Grace playing on the slide that was attached to her bed.
When Lilly got home from school on Friday and I had told her that she could now move back into her own room she rushed upstairs and had not left her room all evening putting everything back in her room and in the right place. When she had finished and everything was back in its rightful place it did not look like a teenage girl's room. There was no make-up or picture of half-naked boys. Only a bed, books shelved full to bursting point. It was clean and tidy, nothing on the floor I was very proud of Lilly. It looked amazing.

"Well done Lilly." I said smiling going into her room

"Thanks." Lilly said she had a very proud look on her face.

"It really does look good." I said

Lilly didn't say anything she just smiled.
