The High Life. The final stretch

Chapter 75

A few days later the kids had finished school and college and we were all at home about to leave, we were heading over to chard to put some flowers on Oscars grave. Lilly had wanted us as family to go for a while, she'd been a few times when she'd needed to escape from home but we hadn't gone as a family for a while. I think the main reason Lilly wants to go as a family is because oscar would have been 21 this year and she wanted us to just go and remember him.

"Come on guys lets go." I shouted up the stairs

Within seconds they all run down the stairs and get their shoes on.

Together we headed over to chard to see oscars grave it took us the best part of 2 hours to get there. The grave was lovely mum must have been coming down often to put flowers on the grave and make sure that it's well kept. We laid flowers down then headed over to see mum. It had been so long since we'd seen her so it was nice just to pay a visit.

"It's been lovely to see you." Mum said as we were heading out the door.

"Thanks for having us. See you at new year." I said giving her a hug.

"Yeah new year." She said

"Bye grandma." The kids shouted as we got in the car and head for home.

It was late when we got back. We got the kids in bed then enjoyed some time together.

Over the next couple of days we enjoyed some time as a family. As it drew closer to Christmas me and Lilly were getting things ready for the two new arrivals to our household. Lilly was getting early excited and because she was in on all of it I had hidden all the stuff for the dogs in Lilly's room, mainly because I knew the kids nor Connor would look in there.

3 days before Christmas.

Charlotte, Jacob and Michael were over. Charlotte and Michael were going out for tea together and Jacob was staying with us for the night. This had become a regular thing between all the couple in the group once a month we would each have another kids (if there was any kids) and we would go out. It was Charlotte and Michael's turn tonight so we were having Jacob for the night.

"Be good." Charlotte said giving Jacob a hug.

"See you in the morning." Jacob said

"Come on jake we're going to hang out in the den." Casper shouted.

"Coming. Have a good night." Jacob said and he ran off to hang out with Jessie and Casper.

"Thanks Rhi." Michael said

"Any time." I said smiling.

"When's your date night?" Charlotte asked

"Not till new year now." I said

"Who's looking after the kids?" Charlotte asked

"Lilly's staying with Ben and Edward is having the others." I said

"That'll be nice." Michael said

"Yeah they'll enjoy it." I smiled

"Right come on babe lets go." Charlotte said

"Yeah okay." Michael said and together left.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon and evening I fed the kids and got them into bed before Connor got home from the label.

"Good evening?" He asked coming to sit next to me on the sofa.

"Yeah thanks." I said smiling 'what about you" I added leaning on his shoulder

"Yeah not to bad, got through loads of emails." Con said resting his head on mine.

"What do you want to do for Christmas?" Con asked
