Misinformation

Psh... I can do this alone.  I'm tough, I'm an independent woman. I- I- I want Zak...

I refrained from stamping on my own foot as I returned from turning on the car camera.

The 4 natural deaths were anything but natural when there were other people involved! Misinformation now had me at a loss! Why hadn't they told me the truth?!

Apart of me had hope that they didn't know, I'd hate to think I was about to be set up for some serious ass whooping from some demons.

I pulled out my phone and looked at Zak's messages when my heart lunged seeing three dots meaning he was typing. I waited...

Then the dots stopped and disappeared. Whatever he was writing, he had stopped writing. I turned my cell off and put it away before going in.

"As long as you don't show fear." Zaks voice chimed in my head.
Fear? I'm now scared, this house has a whole new vibe... And not a good one!

I started my investigation with a EMF sweep of the house, it originally based itself at 0 during the day making me concerned that this location would be a bust.

But now I was at 3.6 and rising. I carried on sweeping each room until I hit 4.5 and stopped taking a look around. With just me alone in a big place like this I needed to make sure I was kept on a camera at all times mainly for the sake of my own safety and so I could capture evidence.

I called out to the spirits letting them know who I was and that I was going to be here all night to communicate with them before I began doing a room to room EVP session. I figured someone would talk eventually and it didn't take long before I got one.

I did on the spot review beside the camera so I could sync up the video later to prove it wasn't myself speaking.  A little trick I learnt from Zak and the Crew.

"What is here? Who are you?" I called out through the recording.

A sinister laugh followed my question with "It's coming."

It was going to have to do a little better than that to scare me away so I continued on asking questions and getting responses every so often from

"Get out of here." "Go away!" "Let's get her." "Where are you?" "Kaylee..." right up to  "I... Hate you!"

There was definitely something here and I was losing nerves and gaining excitement at how much of a response I was getting, I guess my Aussie charm pulled through on me! It had been roughly 2 hours since my last response and I was hoping they were still about.

"Where are you? This place is suppose to be full of demons.. I don't see any signs of demonic activity. Are you all just ghosts?" I called out with the recorder in my hand.

My ears picked up a soft and barely audible whisper making my eyes shift to the recorder, what ever it was I hoped I had got it. Making my way over to the camera I went to press play when the door behind me slammed shut.

I jumped and almost let out a screech of fright. "Okay! This is what I'm talking about! Some activity! What else can you do huh? Don't tell me you're weak!" I taunted. Hearing a growl I swallowed hard knowing full well it wasn't my tummy, I looked around the dark room and found the camera set up on the tripod. Without having full light I couldn't be sure if the camera angle had moved or not since I entered the room, it did look like it..

I marked it down out loud for myself to review later and carried on with the investigation.

I sat in each room used for the female workers with a recorder in my hand but received no responses.  I made my way to the lounge when I heard chanting making me stop at the door leading to the basement, I wonder...

Biting the bullet I tried the door but it was locked. Frowning I pulled the keys out and used my flash light to sifted through them until I found the right key.

"Don't open the door." A voice spoke making me spin around and shine the torch throughout the house.

"W-Who's there?" I asked hoping no kids had broke in to try their luck at investigating for the night.

I'd be mega pissed.

"Come out or I'll call the cops. I have permission to be here.. You don't." I called and began walking around the house checking the rooms. I also checked for any open windows or doors but came up empty handed leaving me to go back towards the basement door.

Finding the correct key I pushed it in and unlocked it. My gut was telling me there was a serious reason for this door to be locked, a reason that I shouldn't find out about but had to.

"Okay.. Ready. 1, 2 -" I opened on three.

A force came up from the basement so hard that it knocked me back on the floor, my torch rolled away from my hand as I desperately scrabbled to my feet and picked my camera back up.

"Cheap shot you snivelling shits." I snapped. I swiped up my torch so that I could use it going down the steps.

The basement was like any other... Cold, dark and uninviting. I guess it would always be all those things as once upon a time it was a cellar for an Inn and all kinds of things happened in those days!

"Helloooo Anybody here? My name is Kaylee." I said looking around with the night vision.

"I'm here to talk to you.... I have this device in my hand. If you speak into the red light I'll be able to hear what you have to say." I continued holding out the recorder.

A child's giggle sent a shiver down my spine, with paranormal investigating. A child's giggle didn't necessarily mean that there was a child spirit here. Demons used it to weaken the person enough for them to take advantage.

"You don't fool me." I sang looking around.

A voice then spoke and I lost all reason and purpose..

"Kaylee?"

"Zak?" I called out looking the stairs.  How did he know I was here?

"Sweetie where are you?"

"I'm in the bas-" I stopped as a laugh filled the air and my heart began to ache..

"You bastards." I whispered looking around for a shadow.

They knew how to weaken me and in that moment my defences were down...
