I groaned pushing my head into the hard surface, my nose caught the whiff of a familiar scent that made me hold on a little tighter.

I placed my hand on Zak's and felt it to be cold, that's when I opened my eyes to see the sun setting quickly. I had slept nearly all afternoon on his lap.

"Oh I'm sorry.." I mumbled sitting back enough to see Zak glaring in the distance, his complexion had an orange glow from the sun, almost making it look like a bad spray tan.

"Zak?"

His eyes looked at me before a sinister smile came across his face, his hand raised up in the air, before he struck my face I jolted awake.

Gripping onto the warm chest I found a heartbeat.

"Just a dream.." He whispered.

I swallowed hard removing the image from my mind before I looked up at him. I didn't want him to see fear in mine, especially when looking at him.

"Sorry, how long was I out for?" I asked rubbing my eyes.

"3 hours. I think we should head back, whilst we have decent light, you know?" He asked making me nod in agreement.

I got up and handed him his top back which had been a comforter to me. As he accepted it, I swiped mine off the ground and pulled it on quickly. He adverted his eyes but not before I saw the conflicted look across his eyes.

"Hope you stocked up on bananas." I spoke, trying to make light of the subject.

He gave a small smile and looked at the empty Tupperware. "I have come to realise, I'm a stress eater."

"So you're a comfort eater?" I replied.

"Yeah, but stress eater, I only eat when a lot when I'm stressed out.." He answered.

I noticed all the cheese and crackers were gone as well as the strawberries and blueberries.

"What's wrong?" I asked crouching down and helping him pack them
Into his backpack.

"I-..." He paused before shaking his head "Nothing. It's nothing."

I watched him as his brows pushed together whilst he rammed the Tupperware in his bag with slight force. Reaching for his hand he held it up and away, "I've just got a headache from the sun." He replied.

I looked at the hat on his head and sunglasses rested on the peak of his hat. I gave him knowing look before sighing and folding the blanket up.

He wasn't going to tell me any time soon, so I didn't push the subject. He would talk... Just when he was ready.

We made our descent down the mountain rocks slowly, I unfortunately slipped off one rock whilst distracted, as I landed on my feet I nearly fell back off a rock around 16 feet up, but Zak gripped my forearm whilst holding the rock wide eyed.

"Where do you think you're going?" He asked as he pulled me up and into his side as I shook.

"I- sorry."

"Do you want to stop for a second?"

I shook my head and rubbed my face "N-no. I uh.. Let's just get down before I get hurt, or hurt you by accident."

He gave a small smile before continuing down, he then held his hands up for me as I got down slowly with his aid.

Once we touched down on dirt I sighed happily and looked at him relieved "I didn't realise how high we went.." He spoke looking up.

"It was quiet a way." I replied. "How did you find it?"

He shrugged before looking up at it "I used to come here with Nick. Aaron was never the type to hike or rock climb up anything but Nick, he was always up for it. One of the places we came after Bob Mackey's. We were so deep in shit then, this was before I got Gracie. I had a smaller dog Ridley, Yorkshire Terrier. He lives with my mom now after our family dog died, she was lonely, wouldn't admit it but I could tell.. I saw her smile. A smile I practised myself."
