"Kaylee..." Zak whispered placing his hand on my shoulder.

My eyes flickered to him "I- they... I have nothing." I whispered as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Sweetie.." He slipped on the bench and grabbed my face before pulling his hands away.

"Jesus you're freezing!" He spoke shocked, pulling off his coat and draping it around my shoulders.

My mind had taken a break, I didn't even know how long I had been here.

"Look at me, darling look at me." He demanded lifting my chin. "What's happened?"

"I- I- I came here."

He nodded.

"I was working and then Andy made me go to his office. I- his boss was there too."

Zak's eye twitched "did they touch you?"

I shook my head "No. I- am I dangerous?" I asked. My face scrunched as the tears began to fall again.

"Where is he?" He growled.

Shaking my head I looked at Zak's tense jaw "Gone. I think I- I got the sack because I was being attack-"

Zak was off the seat and stomping his way towards the diner. My heart was pounding and my feet counted carry me fast enough as I went after him.

Pete had just been leaving with Andy when Zak had steamrollered them back into a wall. I gasped as he grabbed Andy's scruff.

"WHY?! TELL ME WHY?!" He yelled.

"I- it wasn't my choice! I didn't do it!" Andy said shaking his head and holding his hands up.

"My decision is fin-" Pete was interrupted by Zak shoving him against the wall and towering over him.

"Do you get some kind of kick?! Making her cry?!" He shouted.

Pete held his nerve looking at Zak "I had my reaso-

"DANGEROUS TO THE PUBLIC?! SHE WOULDN'T HURT A FLY! LOOK AT HER! SHE IS TERRIFIED!" He yelled.

"She is!" Pete bit. "But the only person that's scaring her right now is you!" He snapped.

Zak's head turned to me as I trembled looking between them.

"Please..." I whispered as I stood swamped on his coat.

He turned around and looked at Pete "She's one of the nicest girls you'll ever meet until I screwed up. It was my fault. You think I don't know how she is?! You don't think I blame myself?!"

Pete flinched slightly at the volume of Zak's voice.

"No!" I cried as Zak pulled his fist back.

His eyes snapped to me and softened as I whimpered, I didn't want Zak getting into trouble. I didn't want him in a police cell when I needed him with me at nights.

"Please, I want to go home.." I begged as Zak levelled with Pete.

"I should rip your fucking head off." He growled. Lifting his hand he pointed to me.

"She has just showed kindness where you deserve none you pond scum." He snarled pushing himself away and walking towards me.

I looked at Andy who mouthed 'Sorry' before I looked down at the ground. Zak's hand grabbed mine and pulled me away.

"Don't you ever stop me again." He growled marching on.

"Kindness? She doesn't know what planet we are even on! She's a risk to everyone including you! She's lucky I'm not throwing her fat ass in jail!" Pete yelled causing Zak to stop. My heart physically broke hearing that single taunt..
