With my eyes still closed I waited. I knew I hadn't imagined it, which only left the fact that it had happened...
I was nudged and could hear Zak whispering my name.
"Are you serious?" I groaned into the pillow.
"You're dribbling."
I woke up fast wiping my mouth embarrassed. Not feeling any moisture on my hand I frowned "I was only joking.. Your face." Zak chuckled laying beside me.
"You're a jerk..." I flopped onto his chest and groaned trying to go back to sleep. I felt warmness but not skin warm, which meant he had a top on, putting my hand down I felt pants.
"Keep doing that and I will have to change my mind." He whispered as I realised I was in fact groping him up.
"Why are you dressed?!" I whined.
"Cause we... Are going out for the day."
"Yeah.. The afternoon sounds good." I mumbled hoping he'd let me sleep in.
"Yeah, well it's 11.30am now. I've even walked Gracie. Time to get up."
"I don't want to leave this bed of pure comfort. It's memory foam which means it's for me, it remembers me."
"You've got an hour.. Then I'm coming in with a bucket of water." He warned slipping out from under me.
"Urgh. You'll sleep in the wet patch then." I answered pulling his pillow to my face.
"Don't I always?"
I smirked and awaited the sleep that never arrived. "God damn it!"
Kicking the bedding off I took a shower and dressed into a tank top with denim shorts. Today was suppose to be mega hot and the last thing I wanted was to melt. Zak came back in the room with me sat on the bed trying to work a comb through my hair. I had in fact had the comb stuck for a good 5 minutes before he came in.
"Well at least you're awake." He smiled taking the comb out of my hair.
"Yup. So why am I awake and where are we going?" I asked batting my lashes.
"I was thinking about what you said.. Yesterday?"
"Oh Zak I said a lot I didn't me-"
"No, no. You were being honest and that's what I wanted. I have to say, I agree.."
I looked up from my hands "And?"
"And I think we need to just get away from all this.. For the day at least. I miss the simpler times too and I hate the idea of us both feeling suffocated by it all. So... I've arranged a day out for us. But I need you ready."
"Nearly done.." I smiled and patted the bed beside me.
Zak sat down and gave me a small smile. "It's not that I don't love the life we have. But it's just constant.. You know?" I asked holding onto his hand.
"I know sweetie."
"And you understand? It just seems that whenever we get past one thing, another one is hitting us down?"
He nodded.
"What I'm meaning is.. I just want a little us time. Is that selfish of me?" I asked.
He shook his head "No, I totally understand."
I sighed contently "I don't deserve you."
"That's your opinion. Be quick." He winked and kissed my forehead before leaving me in the bedroom.
I dried and left my hair down letting the beach curls settle in. Picking up my phone and bag I headed through the house to find him.
Entering the kitchen I found him waiting with the table laid out and a small flower stuck in a vase.
"What's this?!" I squeaked with excitement as he guided me to my seat.
"Breakfast.. Brunch now. No... Lunch." He corrected himself making me smile.
I took in the orange juice and pastries laid out as well as the jams and spreads. "You're cute." I beamed as Zak sat beside me.
"Why thank you. Tuck in." He smiled starting himself off with a croissant.
It was pure heaven to eat a cinnamon swirl for breakfast, I informed Zak I felt posh and like a lady which made him chuckle.
"So.. After a gorgeous breakfast, brunch, lunch. Where we going?" I asked finishing my juice.
"Well that's telling." He smirked.
Pouting playfully he stole a kiss and began tidying up. I helped him clear away the breakfast things in a hope to get there sooner.
"We going on a picnic?" I asked looking over my shoulder.
"No."
"Hmph. You know.. I'm a cheap date right? I'm happy just to go have a picnic up red rock.."
"I know. Not that you're a cheap date. But that you're happy to go up there with some food. It's cute. Really, but that's not what I have in mind."
"Okay... So tell me then."
"Nope."
"Well you're no fun. I'm ready. So let's go play!" I sang grabbing my bag.
He chuckled and followed behind me as we went into the garage.
"What car Mr Bagans?" I asked looking at them all.
"The dodge." He answered clicking the fob to unlock it.
"Ohhh!" I grinned opening the door slowly.
"Before you get in..." Zak spoke making me pause.
"Yes?"
"I got something for you."
"What is it?" I asked as he came around to my side of the car.
He lifted up a black blindfold between us. "You just so happened to have one laying around right?" I questioned.
"I actually ordered it the same time as I ordered all those new panties.." He replied.
"Hmm. And where have they got us?" I asked hinting at the lack of bedroom activities. In fact all we did was sleep and cuddle.
"Is someone sexually frustrated?" Zak asked making my face heat up.
"No!... Maybe." I muttered.
"Patience. Now, will you wear it?" He asked lifting a brow slightly.
"I trust you. I'm trusting you implicitly here to look after me."
His face filled with a smile making me return it "I love seeing you smile. But now I don't get to see that smile."
"You get it everyday. It's only for you anyway. See you soon." He grinned fitting it over my eyes.
I settled in the darkness of the blindfold, I began listening a little harder in order to help myself.
"I'll help you in the car and with your belt."
"Okay."
I slipped on no problem and let Zak sort my belt. Hearing my door close and his open with himself getting inside I smiled.
"We ready?"
"Yes we are.. Keep it on for me." He said making me salute.
I was curious to know what exactly he had planned today and why it had to start with a blindfold..
