We headed back to the second floor to try and communicate with the spirit that threw the rock. I had a few choice words but decided on letting Zak do the talking in case my talking turned into some form of taunting.
With an SB7 spirit box we stopped in the hallway. I watched as Zak switched it on and placed his hand over the speaker muffling the noise whilst he spoke.
"I want you to tell me who threw the rock?" He uncovered the speaker and waited.
After a few seconds a manly voice replied 'Listen'.
"It said listen." Zak repeated as Aaron added that it sounded like a man.
"Okay, we are listening. What do you want to tell us?" Zak asked.
"Someone." The voice replied making me look at Aaron.
"That's the same voice." I said as I looked at the spirit box.
As Zak began walking down the corridor with Aaron following him I paused by a room and listened carefully. I could have sworn I heard someone talking or even shouting, Aaron sensed I wasn't behind him and turned.
"Listen!" I called to them both making Zak turn off the spirit box in time as a loud voice came through. It was garbled and I couldn't understand what it had said but the voice was angry.
"What is that?!" I asked backing away from the room, realising I needed to document it I ploughed my way into the room and panned my camera back to see Zak walking into the room.
"It's not in here!" He announced before running down the corridor.
'He's like a stealthy turtle with his bag...'
'What? Where did that even come from? Keep your head in the game Kaylee!'
I went behind Aaron as we all looked out the window expecting to see a man shouting when a female cry came through.
"Someone's having an argument." I sighed deflated at the idea of my moment being debunked.
"It's not living. Look. There is nobody around. This is a ghost town Kaylee. There wouldn't be anyone out and about at this hour. I think it is residual energy." Zak commented.
I frowned looking around the hotel wondering how Elizabeth had felt.. Chained up, pregnant, alone and having to deal with abuse. I couldn't imagine being her, I loved my freedom and to be chained up like an animal.. No worse! No animal was treated the way she was treated. It was truly heart breaking. That even after all these years, she still resided here because of the time she spent here left her a tormented spirit. I kept imagining her chained up begging George to let her go, begging him to think of their baby, how she would sit there and cry continuously knowing this was where she was going to die. Having to face childbirth alone, scared, cold and uncomfortable..
"You okay Kaylee?" Aaron asked.
I sniffed and wiped my eyes. "Y-Yeah." I cleared my throat and nodded quickly.
"Sure?"
"Yep." I replied and kept my eyes focused on the small LCD screen.
With no more on the SB7 and no more voices Zak decided to take it up one more level... I was sure he was determined to make me cry when he went downstairs and got fresh flowers.
"We got you some fresh flowers Elizabeth." He spoke walking down the corridor.
I bit my lip looking at the floor 'Do not cry.'
As soon as he stepped into the room a small teddy bear with a sensor in began to signal letting them know she was touching the bear.
'What if it's her child's spirit finally being able to play with a toy?'
