Watching as Hazel walks back into her house I kinda wished I had not woke her up. As I am pulling out on the freeway I get a text from my dad.
Did you look for a job?
Damn it get off my back old man. Knowing I am going to see him when I get home, I don't say anything back. My mom meets me outside when I pull up in the drive, I get out of the Jeep and notice that my mom is crying.
"What is it mom?" I ask pulling her into a hug.
"Honey, your daddy is drunk and I can't handle it." She tells me as we walk up the sidewalk.
"Mom I got it, you go shopping or something, I will take care of it." I tell her walking in and handing her purse to her.
"Don't do anything crazy." She yells to me as she is getting in the car.
"Bye, love you." I tell her walking into the house.
"There you are my son." My dad hollers to me taking back another swig from the beer in his hands.
"Come on dad your scaring mom give it a break." I tell him turning down the music.
"Where have you been?" He ask completely forgetting the question.
"At a friends." I say walking into the kitchen.
"Bullshit, I know you are with that Hazel Cox, do you know who her dad is?" He tells me not really asking me and gets a beer out of the fridge. Before I can hold it back I am up and in his face.
"Just what, what did her dad do?" I ask grabbing the beer out of his hands and slamming it down on the table.
"You know he knocked up the that teenager, who is not any older then his own daughter." My dad tells me with a grin on his face.
"What do you think that's funny?" I ask him getting close to him we are touching noses.
"What do you think she is?" He ask smiling and laughing.
"I'll tell you want she is, she is beautiful and intelligent." I tell him picturing her in my head. Then my dad starts laughing.
"Beautiful, I know walking around with her tits out, trust we men at the dealership see it." He tells me walking outside.
