As I am pulling into my drive way I notice that not one light is on, not even the outside light. Then as I walk into the house I see it's just my mom on the floor with her head between her legs in her night gown, with a bottle of wine.
"Ma. Come on, let's get you to bed." I tell her bending down to pick her up so I can take her up stairs.
"Luke your father left me ..... left us. Cause he's got some teenage slut and she is pregnant." She basically is yelling as I sit her down on her bed.
"Ma, please be quite. The neighbors are going to call the cops and I already hear Beth crying in her room." I whisper to her, closing her door I head to Beth's punk door, I peak in before I walk in.
"Luke, mommy is scaring me." She says sitting up and shaking her head.
"Beth, mommy is just not feeling good." I tell her walking her back to her and sitting down beside her, then she crawls in my lap.
"Daddy's not here no more is he, Luke?" She asks looking up at me.
"I don't know." I tell her rubbing her forehead.
"Do you love Hazel? Like mommy loves daddy?" She asks when I thought she was asleep.
"I think so." I tell her laying down with her.
"I love you buddy." She says trying to find Mr. Fluffy.
"I love you too sis." I tell her giving her a kiss on her head.
