Maybe a summer can change everything.

Hazel

As soon as the kiss end the damn doorbell rings.

"God damnit." Luke says pulling away, it like deja vu.

"I'll get it, stay right here."'I tell him hopping off the counter and going towards the door. As I answer it I notice it is more then one person.

"Well hello sweetie. May we come in?" The woman  in glasses asks.

"Actually can you give me a minute." I tell her closing the door and running back the kitchen and Luke.

"Damn why did I open the door?" I ask him going to the laundry room and pulling off my shorts and grabbing even shorter ones. Pulling of my shirt and picking a darker color on so they can't see my bra. Then undoing my hair and redoing it in a bun.

"Who is it?" Luke ask stepping into the room with me, looking totally fuckable.

"I am going to see. I promise we can finish what we were doing later." I tell him standing on my tippy toes and giving him a kiss on the cheek. Heading back to the front door I see Luke following behind me. When I finally reach the door I give him a sideways look before I reach for the door knob, he grabs my hand.

"Nice to see you again Hazel." Vincent says stepping a round the woman. As soon as Vincent says my name Luke tightens his grip on my hand.

"Which I could say the same."'I tell him not opening the door any wider.

"What do you need?" Luke ask kinda stepping in front of me.

"I'm here to talk to Hazel, step away." Vincent says stepping forward and towards us.

"Come on don't do this sweetie." the women says rubbing his arm.

"Get the hell off my porch." York says stepping up behind Vincent.

"The hell I will, I've got something to say to you." Vincent shad turning around and looking York up and down. I look around Vincent and the girl to see York standing in his mechanic jump suit.

"We just want to talk to York." Vincent's lady says to York.

"Why did you come here?" York ask walking to the door and standing in front of me. For a minute we all just stand there, looking at one another.

"This ones mom owes me some money, and I think I'll take her as payment." Vincent says running his hands over my hair.

"Get the hell away from her." Both Luke and York growl at the same time.

"To make it more clear, I am here for her." He says moving closer to me.

"Hazel go inside. Now." Luke says touching my lower back. Then York turns to me, "Go." He says loudly.

"Fuck you Vincent." I tell him before I turn to go farther into the house.

"Baby give it time and you will be."
He says turning to walk back to his car.

"Hazel, damn it don't open the door for anyone you don't know. Please. Promise me." York says placing his hands on my face making me look him dead in the eyes.

"I promise, what if he shows up again?" I ask mostly to my self. "So that's how my mom was getting it?" I mumble.

"Stay the hell away from him." York says giving me a quick kiss on the cheek, and getting back in his car.

"I am going back to work." He tells us before pulling off.

"Damn now I am scared in my own house." I tell Luke turning into him and then the water works come on.

"Baby lets go inside." He says pulling me into his arms and leading me into the house.
