Maybe a summer can change everything.

Luke

As we pull into the parking lot, I have had to listen to Beth sing Justin Bieber the whole way here. Thank god it finally went to commercial.

"Hey Luke can we get chocolate ice cream?" She ask whispers to me as we are walking in.

"Why are you whisper now?" I ask her
after I tell the women behind the counter the last name.

"Can we please?" She whispers again.

"Maybe." I tell her as my phone starts ringing.

"Who is it?" Beth ask looking at the phone and grabbing it when she sees its  Hazel.

"Hazel it's me Beth." She is basically yells into the phone with excitement. After she gets done telling Hazel what we are doing she looks up at me and ask, "Can Hazel eat with us tonight?" I shrug my shoulders and reach for the phone.

"Hey it's me." I tell her as I get the phone.

"She's on a roll,huh?" Hazel ask with a little giggle.

"You don't even know." I tell her as the pizza is coming out.

"So you don't even want to know what Tyler let me know today after I let her talk to Kasey." She tells me with a sigh.

"Come on tell me." I tell her paying and opening there door.

"Kasey, didn't wrap it before he tapped it. And Tyler missed a period, I had to take her to get a pregnancy test and she is going to tell me later the outcome." She tells me almost out of breath.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me. How dumb can you be?" I whisper into the phone.

"That's what i thought too." She tells me letting out another sigh.

"Oh yeah. Beth wants me to ask you if you would want to join us for pizza at my house?" I ask her right before Beth grabs the phone again.

"Yeah. Do you want to come. I am going to make him get some ice cream."  Beth whispers into the phone as I am buckling her in. She must have said yes, because Beth starts laughing and then hands the phone back to me.

"You don't have to come if you don't want to." I tell her pulling out of the parking lot.

"Oh I would love too , if you will give me a minute to change and I will head over there." She tells me as we stop at a red light.

"No it's okay, we will pick you up. I drove all the way to Foretells we had to have the perfect pizza. That will give you a good 20 minutes before we get there." I tell her as we are pulling into the ice cream shop.

"Oh wait, chocolate right?" I ask her done knowing the answer.

"Yes and thank you." She tells me and then I realize we are both on the line.

"And Hazel, I love you." I tell her and she tells me the same.
