I woke up, to the sound of monitors beeping. My head hurt like hell, and the lights that I was lying under didn't help whatsoever. Looking around I saw I was in a hospital room.
"Great," I mumbled, going to sit up, but felt something stop my arm from going beyond a certain point. "Greeeeeaaat."
I let my arm go limp, and felt it hit my leg. Looking down at my arm, I saw a handcuff around my wrist, which was attached to the bedside. Staring at it, I slowly nodded my head.
There was a sound in the distance, and I looked to see the doorknob started to move. I threw my head back against the pillow, only to sit back up, as I held my head in pain.
"Ow-" I said covering my mouth. "Please. Please, tell me you didn't hear that."
Ignoring the pain, I laid back down, and closed my eyes. I did the thing where I closed my eyes, but it was JUST opened enough for me to barely see. Try it. Close your eyes and try it. Do it. DO IT! Did you do it? If not- DO IT! TRY IT! If you did...you looked like an idiot. AHAHAHA! Weirdo.
There was a man wearing a suit, walking through the door. He looked rich. He walked over, and sat at the end of the bed. I watched him look down at me. His eyes scanned my body, which puzzled me. Why would you- nevermind!
He got up, and stood at my side. After looking at the door, he slowly reached his hand towards my tattoo, but before he could reach it I quickly grabbed his wrist, and held it there, making him look at me.
"Who are you?" I asked staring up at him.
He looked down at me, confused but he hid it very well. "I- my name is Bruce Wayne. I came to check on you...to thank you for saving that girl from the fire yesterday."
"Well I- hold up, YESTERDAY?!" I said confused. "That means I've been-"
"Asleep for almost twenty four hours, yes."
"Well what happened?!" I asked jumping up only to be stopped by the handcuffs. I fought against them, but had to stop dud to them cutting into my skin. "Can you take these off?"
"I'll get an officer to remove them. Uh, do you remember anything from the incodent?"
I looked at the bed as I stayed silent; trying to remember what happened that day. When I thought of something, my eyes darted back to him.
"I-"
"I'll get the officer. You just continue thinking." He said before walking out of the room.
As he walked away, I shook my head, held my hand in the air, and gave him a look. "Ummm...I was about to tell you something until you walked away thank you." I mumbled. "Rich people these days. I- unbelievable."
I sat there impatient for about fifteen minutes, waiting for this guy. He's rich- couldn't he have paid someone to be quicker? This is rediculous. I could be dying right now, and there's no one around to help me. I have to pee! My bladder is gonna explode if I don't get up in less than five minutes. I tried to break the cuffs, but it didn't work. Why we're these on me anyway?!
"Finally," I blurted out hearing footsteps coming my way. Rich man from before walked through the door with a cop right behind him. "Took you long enough."
The cop walked over, and started undoing the cuffs.
"What, did you guys go out for lunch? A walk in the park? Did you see a movie while you were at it?" I asked annoyed.
The cop shook his head, and the rich guy, whose name I forgot- not like it matters- ANYWAY! looked at me with this look, which really poked at my nerves. Ohhh this guy. He's- why do I feel like I know him? Like I've talked to him before? It's weird. I don't talk to people like him...
