"Leave him alone. I heard you guys have been texting. I was nice about all this at first but now, I'm not. Leave Hayden alone, he's mine. Got it?" that's the DM from Kenzie that I came home to. After a long and hard day at gym and flair, I took a shower, played with Hayley and Gigi and decided to watch some Netflix and get on my phone. Bad mistake huh? I read them DM and became furious. I screenshotted it and sent it to Hayden. And I texted him this,
"Seriously?? Just friends? Whatever you guys are, please handle it between YOU guys! I don't want any of this Hayden!" I press send and slammed my phone down on the couch. I couldn't believe Mackenzie had the nerve to text me that. He's mine? Cool. Great. Awesome. Have him. I DM'd her back.
"Hayden and I are friends. We can text if we want. Please don't DM me again. I don't need this drama. If you want to have it out with someone, have it out with Hayden. Goodbye." I made it plain and simple. I could've gotten much worse but I decided to "kill em with kindness" plus, I knew I'd be in trouble with mommy, more so daddy, for lashing out at her. Sometimes it's better to give in than get back at someone. Hayden replied. Twice.
"I'm so so sorry Annie! First off, I have no clue how she knows we're texting. Second off, it's none of her business. I'm really sorry.. I'll text her right away." He replied. It sorta gave me comfort and relief. I shut my phone off without responding. I put my blankey over my face and inhaled the smell. The smell reminded me of Caleb. I took one of Caleb's shirts out of his chest in mommy and daddy's room and I keep it in a plastic bag. At night, I take it out and smell it and just hug it. I only keep it in a plastic bag so the smell of him won't fade. I went to my room and took his shirt out. I cried and cried and sniffed his shirt. I missed him. I know for a fact if he was here, I wouldn't be having all this trouble with Hayden. Oh Hayden. Just that name.
