It had been a whole day and Hayden hadn't really texted. I was in a funk. I went to gym and then I went to Hayley's first dance class with her. She was actually pretty good, I was really happy for her, that she finally decided to quit gymnastics and do something she really wanted to do. After dance and gym we went to the mall and just shopped. We stopped at Taco Bell since it was in the mall, I was craving some tacos. Mommy's phone started to ring, it was daddy. She answered it and talked for about three minutes and then started to gather up our stuff.
"Daddy said there's a surprise for you at home. We gotta go." She smiled and Hayley smiled. A surprise? The whole ride home I grew with anticipation. I was so nervous that I started to bite my nails. As we pulled into the driveway mommy started to open the garage. I gathered all my things and slowly got out of the car, my legs were so weak. We walked inside and daddy was smiling. Mommy, daddy and Hayley were all standing in front of me smiling.
"What? What?? Daddy, what?" I repeated and became really suspicious. I looked behind me and it was Hayden and his dad. Hayden had the biggest smile on his face and his luggage. He also had a giant stuffed horse. I screamed "Hayden!" And jumped into his arms. Daddy hugged Hayden's dad and mommy hugged him too. So did Hayley and so did I. My heart filled with joy. Was this why Hayden had been being so weird lately? He said he was working on a big surprise. Was this it?? Hayden and I went outside on the trampoline. We were alone, at last.
"Is this why you have been acting so weird?" I asked while looking up at him smiling.
"Yes. I couldn't text you as much because each time I wanted to go ahead and spill the beans. I wanted to surprise you." He smiled and held my hand.
"Well you definitely did." I play hit him and giggled. We jumped on the trampoline and did a bunch of flips and tricks. Well, Hayden attempted. This day was getting better and better. Hayden told me he was staying for a week and three days, and he would be staying with us! I was filled with joy so I just leaned up and kissed him. I didn't even realize we were outside. Luckily mommy and daddy were all inside and stuff. Hayden was so shocked that I did that. He liked it. And so did I. I went from being in a funk, to being the happiest girl in the world. Hayden made me so happy.
