When Heroes Rise

I stood at the top of a building. An old warehouse of some kind. It deteriorated after some time.

I felt the cool air whip my turquoise hair around. I stood at the edge of the slightly tall building.

I could just do it

Jump

The voice in my head was telling me to do it.

I had snuck out of the house to get some fresh air. I guess it turned into something else.

I heard a noise behind me and I turned around in a stereotypical ninja pose.

Breathing a sigh of relief I saw Nathan (MY NATHAN)

"What are you doing here?" he said

"Getting some air" I said to him, not backing away from the ledge.

He took a few steps towards me. I looked at the rusty warehouse roof. I shed a lonely tear and it fell to the ground.

I suddenly felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my torso.

He was hugging me

I didn't realize it but my hands were soon wrapped around his neck. He pressed his forehead to mine. I could smell the type of toothpaste he used.

I know I'm creepy.

He leaned in for a kiss and I gladly welcomed his lips upon mine. He kissed me softly with passion. I pulled out of the kiss and cried on his chest.

"Wren losing her powers wasn't your fault" he said.

"Yes it is" I whispered.

He paused. Not knowing what to say.

"I should have let her take my powers" I said.

"Don't say that" he said, concern in his eyes.

"Why are you here?" I said

All the sudden I felt the presence of two people.

He turned around and stepped forward, confronting them.

"Getting some, eh nathan?" one laughed

"You picked a pretty one" the other one laughed along.

"Piss off" he suddenly spoke up.

"Fine then" the obviously drunken "friends" staggered off

He turned around and I said it.

I had just said my last

"Goodbye"

A tear fell as Nathan realized , running forward to catch me, I stepped off the edge. Falling to the ground.

I heard my name before everything was gone.
