A Week Later-

Jessica was in her office editing pictures for NY Mag's November issue. Not only did she have a writing position but she did lots of photography. She loved being able to do the two things she loved, writing and photography.

As Jessica was working one of her co-workers came in.

"When I saw this book at Barnes and noble with your name on it I was about to scream. I didn't know you published a book!" Her friend Heather says holding up the book.

Jessica chuckles. "Haha, I guess I never really told anyone." She smiles

"The images in here are beautiful. I'm proud of you Jessica. This will clear the shelves for sure." She sits down and flips through it.

"I mean looking at these images, it's just amazing." she adds

"Thank you Heather. I worked hard."

"Obviously, my goodness! My mother loves Europe, i'll have to get this for her as a Christmas gift."

"I have a few copies at my house, I can bring you one if you'd like."

"I'd love that. Thank you Jessica."

"No problem!"

**

"Hey Jessica, Mark wants you in his office." Her secretary says

Jessica stops what she's doing and sighs.

"Great"

Jessica walks into his office and sees him holding up her book. Jessica took a deep breath. Make was unpredictable, she didn't know what he would say.

"Jessica Lange." He says

"That's me."

"Sit"

Jessica rolls her eyes when he's not looking and sits down. He spins his chair around and tosses the book onto his desk.

"You published a book."

"Yes" she nods

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I-"

"I actually don't want to know. You know I've bent over backwards for you. I could have just fired you from taking three months off, but I didn't."

"Mark, I'm sorry if there's a problem. I appreciate all you've done for me."

Mark starts to laugh. Jessica gives him a strange look at stares at him.

"I'm just teasing you! Haha, I'm sorry Jessica. Congrats!"

Jessica exhales and rolls her eyes. "You scared me."

"I'm sorry, I just had to. I'm happy for you Jessica. This is why I have you on our photography team, great job."

**

After work Jessica was exhausted. She had so much to get done and finally was able to get it done. Now she had to go to the grocery store.

Once she was finished at the store she decided to walk home. She wanted to take it all the nice weather before the cold came.
