The next morning-

Jessica and Danny hadn't slept at all that night. They spent the whole night discussing everything. They poured their hearts out to each other and didn't leave one and another's side. They forgave each other how things were left. Danny wasn't taking the loss of his father well at the time. Jessica didn't expect him to. She understood completely. The past didn't matter anymore to them. Jessica and Danny were starting fresh. The past was behind them. They had each other. All that mattered was their love. It was precious to them. This is what Jessica prayed would happen. All she wanted was Danny. Living without him wasn't an option.

The next morning Jessica woke up in Danny's arm. Her skin touched his. White sheets covered their bodies. Her head was on his chest. Hearing his heartbeat put everything at ease. She felt more relaxed. This was the first time in a very long time that she finally felt secure, truly happy, and in love.

Danny slowly started to wake up. When he did he moved his hand up and down Jessica's back, slowly. Jessica smiled then turned her head to his.

He moved his head down and kissed her forehead. "I want to wake up like this every morning. Next to you, in bed, together." He says softly

"Me too." She nods. She places her hand on his chest.

"I love you." Danny mutters

"I love you too."

"What's next?" He says sitting up.

"We lay in bed all day and sleep in each other's arms." She giggles wrapping a blanket around her body.

"But after we do that."

Jessica knew that Danny was talking about how they'd make this relationship work. This was the scary part. One of them had to make a big sacrifice. One of them had to leave their home to be with the other. They didn't want a long distance relationship. Nothing could come between them.

"I don't know... What do we do?" Jessica turns to Danny. She was concerned. It showed through her facial expression.

Danny tilted his head then caressed Jessica's cheek.

"We will figure this out. No matter what I won't let you go. Not now, not ever."

The next day-

Danny had to go into the office for the day. He needed to see patients before the holidays came. Jessica decided to stop over Ann's to get her stuff. Danny wanted Jessica to stay with him while she stayed in Minnesota.

They both avoided the subject of what would have to happen when Jessica had to go back home. They needed time to figure everything out. It all happened so fast. They just wanted to spend the time they had with each other and not have worries.

Jessica wanted to surprise Danny with dinner when he got home. She headed to the grocery store to pick out some things to make then went back to his house.

Jessica turned on his Bluetooth speaker and played soft music. It played throughout the house as she cooked. She wanted to make a pasta dinner. It wad easy and romantic which is what she wanted.

Danny got home a bit earlier then expected. Dinner still wasn't finished. Jessica had her body facing the stove. Danny stood a few feet behind her watching Jessica stir the pot. She swayed her hips back and forth to the music. Danny couldn't help but stare. The sight of Jessica infront if his eyes was something he wouldn't trade for the world. Just knowing that they were together gave him this feeling of happiness throughout his body.

Danny slowly walked up to Jessica and put his hands on his hips. Jessica jumped from being startled. She turned to Danny with fright in her eyes.

"Hey, it's just me." He chuckles giving her a kiss.
