3 days later-
Jessica and Danny put all of their plans at a halt. Jessica stopped packing to go back to Minnesota. She kept thinking it all through. She really wanted this job. She'd never get a big job promotion like this ever again. Her dreams of having a photography business vanished. This job offer was her real dream. Danny was also another dream. She just wanted it to all work out and be happy with Danny in the end. What she really needed was to just sit down and talk with him. They avoided the topic so much while she visited that now it was time to really figure it all out.
Jessica decided to walk around Central Park and just get her mind off things. In this very moment she wanted her dad... she wanted to ask him what to do. He always gave the best advice.
She sat on a park bench and looked in front of her. She closed her eyes and just took deep breaths. It let it all sink in that from the moment forward, what ever was going to happen would change her life, forever.
Jessica walked back to the apartment building. As she walked up the stairs she saw Danny sitting on the steps with multiple bags of luggage. She gasped then ran over to him.
"Danny, what are you doing here?" She cried wrapping her arms around him.
"I needed to see you. We just need to sit down, talk, and figure out what's going to happen." He says sternly
"Did you bring everything with you?" She giggles looking at his four bags of clothes
Danny shrugs his shoulders. "We have some talking to do."
Jessica and Danny go back up to her apartment. He settles in then wraps his body around Jessica. He dips her and kisses her passionately. They do this for a few minutes until Jessica breaks away.
"God did I miss you." She whispers
"I missed you too."
"Danny, what's going on? Why is all of your stuff here?"
Danny sighs and takes her hand. She follows him to couch. He sits her down and holds her hands close to his body.
"I left the practice. I was so unhappy there! I just needed to leave."
Jessica was shocked. Her eyes widened. She didn't know if she should be happy or upset.
"Danny!"
"I know, it's crazy. But when I heard that you got that job offer not only was I happy for you but I felt relieved. This was my opportunity to leave when I could and move out here with you."
"I'm shocked."
"I wanted to surprise you."
"It's a great surprise! What happens now?"
"Well... I don't want to sell my house. Instead I'm going to have a friend of mine who is a realtor keep it up for me and rent it out to people. I'm going to get an apartment out here and work at a buddy of mines practice. It's all figured out. The practice has to pay me off so I'll have a little break and still get paid."
Jessica stood there then jumped into Danny's arms.
"Do you know what this means?" Jessica giggles sitting on top of Danny. He rubs her back and smiles looking into her eyes that lit up the room.
"Huh?"
"We can be together. No more flights, FaceTime calls, and no more what nows! All I have to do is- gosh I'm so happy!"
"Me too! And you know what else this means?"
"Hmm?" Jessica hums
"You Ms. Lange are going to be the head of NY MAGS writing department. I couldn't be happier for you, love."
Jessica holds Danny's cheeks in her hands and kisses him continuously.
"I'm so in love with you, Danny Huston." She squeals
"I'm in love with you. Tomorrow you march into your office and accept that job. And tomorrow I meet with my new boss and find an apartment. Didn't I tell you it would all fall into place?"
"You did." Jessica nods
"You know what helps me fall asleep at night?"
"What?"
"I picture in my mind of us living happily together in New York. No matter what's going on I just picture us together and my mind is at ease. This last month has been crazy and everything is happening so fast. But that's okay... I never stopped loving you. I'll never stop either."
Jessica teared up. She rolled off Danny and put her head on his shoulder. "Yeah it's all happening fast. But I'd rather it happen fast instead of not happening at all."

The next day-
Jessica put on her best dress and shoes. Her hair was done and her briefcase was at her side. She walked through the hallways of her office building. She stood proud with a smile of her face.
This is it Jessica. You are doing it, taking the best opportunity. You are going to be the head of the writing department. You've worked so
Long for this. It's even better now because you have Danny by your side. Life is all coming together, finally. It couldn't get any better than this."Jessica, just the person I wanted to see." Mark exclaims
"Hi Mark." Jessica dips her head.
"Please... sit." He motions her to a chair
"I'm hoping you made a decision?" He sits down and looks at her.
"Yes, I did. After lots of thinking too."
"And?"
"I'd like to take you up on your offer."
"Holy shit! Really? Yes! This is great! Corporate will be thrilled, I'm thrilled."
"Thank you for this opportunity." Jessica smiles
"You are the best of the best. Don't thank you, thank yourself."
Jessica zoned out Mark for a moment and closed her eyes.
Finally, life is all figured out. Better late than never.
