Today I'll be giving you some DIY hair mask recipes.
Strawberry Hair Mask :
Strawberries are packed with vitamin C which is helpful in nourishing the hair, and they also have the ability to get rid of any excess oil buildup that your scalp may be holding in. This hair mask will help you get those shiny locks that you have always dreamed of — and not to mention it smells amazing!
Blend together 5 to 7 strawberries (depending on the amount of hair you have), and a tablespoon each of coconut oil and honey until a smooth puree is formed. Work the mixture into damp hair while massaging your roots, then rinse away with warm water.
This recipe is a cheap and natural alternative to store bought hair masks which can be expensive and packed with chemicals.Banana Hair Mask :
If strands feel brittle with split ends, try a strengthening treatment infused with banana, jojoba oil and honey to repair and hydrate. Banana is a natural remedy for dry, frizzy hair.
Blend half of a banana with two ounces of water, then adding a quarter cup of mayonnaise, a tablespoon each of coconut, olive and jojoba oils and two tablespoons of honey.
The mask should be smooth with no large chunks of fruit. Strain the mixture in a strainer if necessary before applying it from roots to ends.Egg Hair Mask :
For overworked and processed hair, protein-rich egg is nature's miracle. It smoothes damaged cuticles to restore strength and shine. Whisk together one egg, a tablespoon each of coconut oil, olive oil and honey, and two ounces of water. Add one half of a mashed banana and stir until the mask is smooth. Apply to strands for 15 minutes, then shampoo as usual.Avocado Hair Mask :
Vitamin E-dense avocado is the ultimate nourisher, and it's already mask-like texture. In a blender, add half a ripe avocado, one egg, a tablespoon each of olive oil, coconut oil and honey, along with one ounce of water. Pulse until creamy. Apply to strands and rinse out after 20 minutes.Honey And Mayonnaise Hair Mask :
Honey and mayonnaise work together to target dry, coarse strands and instantly make them glossy.
Mix half a ripe avocado, a quarter cup mayonnaise, one tablespoon each of coconut oil, olive oil and honey, and two ounces of water. Work the mask into your scalp to soothe dryness, then massage it in from roots to ends to maximize all-over shine.Aloe Vera Hair Mask :
If the weather change is making your skin, scalp, and hair really dry, Aloe Vera may be the solution for you. Aloe vera is not only an affordable alternative but it is the best natural remedy to treat dry skin or eczema, aloe also adds shine and moisture to your hair while promoting hair growth and keeping your hair healthy.Mix aloe vera and olive oil, leave in for 20 min , rinse and style as usual.Egg And Oil Hair Mask :
This mask is great for anyone with dry and damaged hair. It's instantly moisturizing. The measurements for this mask are based on someone with shoulder length hair so for longer hair I would double the ingredients. Mix together 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil, 1 Tablespoon White Vinegar, 1 Egg, and apply generously to hair. Let the mask sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing and using shampoo and conditioner as usual.Banana Hair Mask :
This hair mask is great for when you need a little extra moisture and it helps cut down on frizziness. I love using this in the summer, for some added moisture. It also leaves your hair smelling amazing! Mix together, 1 Banana, 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil, 3 Spoonfuls of Mayonnaise and apply to dry hair, concentrating on the roots. Leave the mask on hair for 30 minutes before rinsing and shampooing as usual.Strawberry Hair Mask :
This mask works as a deep conditioner. It leaves your hair feeling weightless and looking shiny and smooth. Blend together to form a cream 8 Strawberries, 2 Tablespoons of mayonnaise, apply to wet hair. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes before rinsing and shampooing as usual.Coconut Milk Mask :
Mash one ripe avocado with a spoon until it's a smooth paste. Add 1/2 a cup of coconut milk and 3 tbsp of olive oil, stirring rapidly to make sure they mix well. Warm the mask in a pre-heated pan for about 20 seconds. Apply to your hair from roots to ends, massaging it into your scalp. Leave on for at least 30 minutes (overnight is ideal) and shampoo out.Avocado Scalp Mask :
Mash up one whole avocado, add ten drops of argon oil and 2 tablespoons of honey. The sweet ingredient will aid in hydration and act as the "glue" for this recipe. It is always best to use raw honey for the enzymes. Now add some drops of tea tree oil. Though tempting to pour in the entire lot, add a few drops at a time. Stir the mixture until smooth and creamy. Using gloves, apply the mask directly on to the scalp. Press in and massage gently using your finger tips. Since there's avocado and argan oil in it, you can pull the extra through your ends for moisture.Thats it for today! I hope this helped you guys.
