Admit it, we all find it hard to save money. It's always so tempting when you see your favourite chocolate calling out to you, when you tell yourself you'll wear that £45 dress everyday and you wear it once in 2 years. I have a solution ;) This idea is off of Pinterest, I take no credit.
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Wooden palette - 14"x12"
- Mason jars - 3 colours
- Mini chalkboards & chalk
- Twine
- Acrylic paint - off white
- Paintbrushes
- Glue gun & glue sticks
- Surface coverDIRECTIONS:
1. Paint wooden palette with acrylic paint. Allow to dry.
2. Glue mason jars and mini chalk boards to palette, refer to photo for placement.
3. Tie twine around neck of mason jars. Trim excess.
4. Write "SAVE"?, "SPEND"? and "GIVE"? on mini chalkboards. The save jar is great if you have a college fund you need to pay, pay for school, pay for a holiday or saving up for a special event.
The gift jar is great if you end up searching for scraps of money in your jean pockets the day before your friends birthday.
The spend jar is great for general shopping like food shopping, shopping for essential clothes, cute bikinis for your holiday or days out.
I'm definitely using this idea, remember to vote and comment if you have questions or any mason jar DIY possibilities :)
