This chapter will include a tutorial on how to make a beautiful dots-on-canvas wall hanging.

Materials:

- 3-4 different colours of paint
- 1 colour of paint for the base and a brush to apply it
- Canvas
- Circular pouncers
-Hanging supplies (hammer, nail, string/wire, staples)

Instructions:

1. Lay your canvas on some old newspaper and paint the entire thing with your base colour. Allow to dry.

2. Starting with your largest pouncer, dab into paint and then onto canvas – mainly at the top and spread out.

3. Now, use the next largest pouncer and do the same thing but go down the canvas a little bit more.

4. Carry this on with all the pouncer sizes until you're using the smallest pouncer sporadically at the bottom of the canvas. Make sure not to go right to the bottom of the canvas (unless this is a look you want).

5. Repeat this same process with all your paint colours.

6. When everything is dry reapply some of the first colours you used again, just so they aren't buried underneath all the other paint and to fill in any open spots.

7. Allow to completely dry.

8. Staple string/wire evenly across the back of the canvas.

9. Put a nail in the wall where you'd like the wall art and then hang the canvas.
