DO - monochromatic looks (not always black) even white can be slimming worn head to toe.
DON'T - cutting yourself in half with contrasting colours that change at the waist or hip.
DO - nude stilettos, kitten heels, strappy sandals that fasten below the ankle bone, toe cleavage.
DON'T - ankle straps that interrupt the length of your leg, big square toes or chunky heels.
DO - structures bag that is either long and narrow or tucks in naturally at the indent of your waist.
DON'T - a wide bag with a flare out bottom that hits you at the largest point of your hips.
DO - skinny jeans with a straight leg, slight flare or boot cut with balance out thicker thighs.
DON'T - skinny-to-the-ankle jeans that increase calf-to-thigh drumstick ratio.
DO - long thin dangly earrings that elongate your neck.
DON'T - wide, tight chokers that shorten your neck.
DO - short or long coat with hourglass seaming in back and darts in front.
DON'T - mid length coat to cover your tush (it will shorten your torso and widen your thighs.
DO - pants with a medium-size, close-set butt pockets placed high enough to give you a little lift.
DON'T - pants with small, low, spread-out butt pockets that drag your entire derrière down.
DO - fluttery chiffon sleeves or structured cap sleeves that wing out as if they had extended shoulder pads.
DON'T - circulation-cutting cap sleeves at the widest part of the upper arms or spaghetti straps that show armpit or cleavage or enlarge the upper arm.
DO - v-neck and criss-cross tops that draw your eyes inwards and downwards.
DON'T - crew neck and boatneck tops that pull your eyes horizontally.
DO - rayon-nylon-spandex leggings with seams down the back and panels at the side to minimise thickness of leg.
DON'T - thin cotton leggings that look like tights and have no structure, showing every lump and bump on the upper leg and bum.
