In this chapter, I will be giving you some ideas for dressing up your bedroom to look amazing for winter!
The bed: The main part to your bedroom, the central feature. Making your bed look warm by adding a deep coloured blanket over plain linens; you could add a burgundy, grey, army green, deep orange throw with matching pillows! You could even have some brightly coloured pillows to contrast with the dark ones, including blues, reds, yellows. Another option is adding a classic patchwork, plaid blanket, if you would prefer patterns to plain. This look would brighten up your room and add a very seasonal twist as well. If you do go with this look, you could pair it with a neutral coloured rug in dark blues, greys or browns, or even a cream colour. A gorgeous coloured rug would be the perfect yet simple accessory to add that warmth to your room.

Fairy Lights: Every tumblr girls Christmas dream, fairy lights. Whether your hanging some above the head board of your bed, or pairing them with photos on the wall, they are a great accessory for your room, all year round. The soft lighting is perfect for setting a very chilled out mood and it always looks gorgeous, plus it gives your room a magical feel. Coloured fairy lights near windows and used as an almost border along one of your walls will add colour, beauty, magic and a sense of whimsy to your room.

DIY Accessories: I love DIY room accessories because there is something lovely about knowing that you have created something that makes your room a little bit more beautiful. Your winter makeover accessories don't have to be complicated, they can be as simple as lacing a few shelves with some old sparkly Christmas decorations or putting a few pine cones in a clear jar. Or you could create a wintery arrangement.
