This chapter will include 11 simple rules for teenage skincare!
01. Wash your face twice a day.
Invest in a good facial cleanser. My personal favourite is Kiehl's ultra facial cleanser.02. Splash cold water over your face too get rid of dirt and excess oil building up in your pores.
03. Follow a strict routine every morning and night. Let your face get used to the same products that work for your skin and stick to these products and a certain routine.
04. Exfoliate at least once a week. Exfoliating your skin will get rid of all the dirt in your pores.
05. Limit your junk food intake they increase pimples and acne.
06. Drink lots of water to keep your system and skin well-hydrated. A well hydrated system can combat pimples and acne better.
07. Sleep at least 8 hours and avoid getting stress. Stress will lead to breakouts and sleep will help your skin repair its self.
08. Minimise makeup usage to occasions when it is really needed. Excess makeup adds to oiliness and results in pimples, acne and other skin problems. It is damaging for your young skin too.
09. Don't get too worked up or hypersensitive about anything. These too add to your skin problems.
10. Exercise and meditate regularly. Stay calm by meditating, exercise helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital and helps blood flow.
11. Be happy! When you feel elated and happy, the body releases its happy hormones – the endorphins, oxytocin, serotonin et al. While these hormones are responsible for a whole lot of other functions as well, they enhance the skin's ability in repairing and renewing itself.
