2Na: The Signs

"If we ever depart, let's come back here and leave a sign... Okay?" Sana told Mina as they were running away.
"On that tree, let's carve something on that tree." Mina looked into Sana's eyes. Sana gave a nod and stroked the tree Mina pointed at; Mina looked around but she started to hear foot steps approaching. She grabbed Sana's hand that was stroking the tree and started running. It seemed like the running would never stop but eventually it did. Clumsy Sana tripped on something.
"Sana! Are you okay?" Mina kneeled down and looked into Sana's teary eyes.
"Leave." Sana said in a serious tone.
"What?"
"Leave!"
"No. I will not leave you." Mina said as she started to cry too.
"Yes you will. Go right now!" Sana said and Mina heard footsteps approaching again.
"No. I won't go!" Mina was scared but she would rather die with Sana rather than live a life in regret without Sana.
"Go or else." Sana said as her voice started to quiet down. The footsteps were getting closer and Sana knew it was only a matter of time before it would hear them and find them.
"Or else what?" Mina said and then the footsteps stopped. When the footsteps stopped, that was not a good sign. Mina and Sana knew it wasn't stopping because it gave up but it stopped because it heard them.
"Look here Mina, I will not die. You hear me? I won't but if we're together, we both will. So you need to go first and I'll leave a sign on that tree." Sana whispered desperately trying to get Mina to go first.
"You have to. Promise me we'll meet again soon." Mina wanted Sana to promise because Sana has never broken a promise before.
"I promise. Go." Sana rushed Mina. Mina left.

Mina ran nearby and hid. She still didn't want to leave Sana but for a while she didn't hear anything but finally it came.

VROO VROO

"What was that noise?" Mina thought carefully before hearing Sana's voice.
"Who are you?!" Sana screamed. Hearing Sana's voice made Mina want to run towards Sana but she didn't.
"I'm Jason, don't you know?" It said.
"Jae-son?" Sana asked.
"Jason, it's an American name."
"Then why are you in Japan and what do you want with me?"
"So you don't know me. I come out on Friday the 13th and surprise... I avenge myself."
"I didn't do anything to you..."
"Ha ha."

VROO VROO.

It became silent. This time Mina ran out towards where Sana was at. She wasn't sure whether to be relieved or not because Sana wasn't there but what was left was a chainsaw and a mask. Mina searched all over the place but Sana was no where to be found. Mina went back to the tree and there were no signs.

How it all happened was:
Sana and Mina are two school girls in love. They are both in the closet and decide that they can't possibly come out so they have a secret relationship. They meet in the woods after school everyday and they even have their own spot. One day, they didn't realize it was Friday the 13th and went to the woods anyways. They heard noises and finally realized they were being followed. Now, Mina is left hopeless, searching for Sana everyday.

Mina no longer goes to the woods because she fears Jason. It wasn't until Sana's birthday two months later did Mina build up courage to enter. She went back to their spot and thought of all their wonderful memories. She glanced at the ground and saw that the chainsaw and mask were still there, she clenched her teeth and her fist.
"Sana, I miss you... Wherever you are, I really hope you're well. Whether that place is somewhere on earth or... or... heaven." Mina thought as she started tearing up at the fact that Sana could be gone forever. Mina is overwhelmed with even more emotions when she sees the spot her and Sana always hung out at after school.

Mina walked over to the tree and started to bang on it and screamed "YOU PROMISED YOU WOULD LEAVE A SIGN HERE. WHY WOULD YOU MAKE A PROMISE YOU KNEW YOU COULDN'T KEEP?"
Just then, Mina get a huge splinter. She glares at the tree with all the anger and sadness in her heart until she sees something in the bark.
KOR
But the rest had fallen the tree because of Mina's banging.

For nights Mina tried to figure out what "KOR" stood for. She couldn't sleep, she didn't eat. She even missed school. But eventually she was forced to go back to school and luckily she did. She was in history and the letters "KOR" were just roaming around her head but everything came together when the teacher said "Korea".

Immediately, Mina went to Korea to study abroad but in reality she was there looking for Sana. She had no idea where Sana be. Mina just went straight to Seoul. It seemed like fate brought the two together because it turned out that Jason took pity on Sana and Mina. Jason became an evil killer because he was bullied as a kid, when he realized that Sana and Mina were in the woods to avoid that, he immediately decided not to kill. He took Sana to Korea for a better life and he wanted to take Mina too but Sana was still scared for Mina so Sana told him to leave Mina alone. Realizing he wasn't the only one who gets bullied, he becomes a regular human again. He leaves his mask and chainsaw behind. He builds a company in Korea called JYP. Sana is living lavishly under JYP and that is when she wants to bring Mina with her. So she went back to Japan and waited in the woods and looked for Mina at school but Mina was nowhere to be found. She went to Mina's house but she knew Mina's parents would recognize her and report her so she wasn't able to see Mina. Instead, she just left a sign on their tree.

Now Mina is in Korea searching for Sana who is right under her nose. Sana is a celebrity but Mina couldn't recognize her because she had a stage name and dyed hair. Here is when fate brings them together... Mina is a ballerina, she just happened to have a dance performance where Sana was performing too. Mina was performing, Sana saw a sign that said

"No way." Sana thought.
She went to watch and it really was Mina. Mina finished and Sana was on stage next. Mina was still on stage when Sana ran on. Sana was directly behind Mina but Mina was unaware. Then from behind, Sana gives Mina a big hug.

"I found you." Sana said and immediately, Mina was nearly in tears of joy. They both were happy and Mina ended up signing with JYP entertainment after Jason apologized for initially attempting to kill them.
