Twice: One Shots

Sana and Tzuyu: Strangers Again.

At one point, everyone is a stranger, even your family. Have you ever thought that your soulmate could be right in front of you and you don't even know? Well this was the case for Tzuyu and Sana. It was a few years ago when they were both studying abroad in Korea under the same program. They even lived in the same dorm but only managed to greet each other once. Tzuyu was extremely shy and rarely talked because she didn't know very much Korean but Sana was the opposite. Tzuyu started to think "I wish I was her."
Sana thought the same thing because Tzuyu was so pretty. Later on, these thoughts started to change from "I wish she was my friend." to "I wonder what it would be like if she were my girlfriend."
They both had thoughts like this even though they were basically strangers.

After a few years, they finished their studies and both stayed in Korea to work. Coincidentally, they worked at the same place; JYP Entertainment. This was finally when they talked. Sana fit in well but Tzuyu was kind of unfamiliar so Sana tried to make Tzuyu feel more comfortable.
"Hey." Sana started a conversation for once.
"Hi." Tzuyu replied shyly.
"I guess we'll be working together?"
"Seems like it." Tzuyu was nervous to talk to Sana but Sana misunderstood.
"She must not like me." Sana thought.
"Ah, well, I guess I'll go now." Sana started to leave but Tzuyu held her hand. Sana turned around to see what Tzuyu wanted but Tzuyu was frozen.
"I don't want her to misunderstand..."
"Is there an issue?" Sana said with her eyes wide open, looking straight into Tzuyu's eyes.
"L-Le-Let's g-go to the m-market." Tzuyu said because she couldn't think of anything else.
"Oh, okay. Let's go." Sana said while thinking "How cute of her."

After that day, they naturally grew closer. Tzuyu started to come out of her shell. Everyday, she started to open up to Sana. Sana started falling more in love. Sana is always very open about her feelings and confessed her love.
"I love you, Tzuyu ah." Sana said while looking straight into Tzuyu's eyes.
"..." Tzuyu was too shy to reply but Sana knew that Tzuyu liked her back.
"And you love me too." Sana said as she held Tzuyu's hand. Tzuyu smiled brightly.

Sana and Tzuyu were happy together until other people started to come in the picture. First it was Nayeon. Nayeon always tried to inch her way into Tzuyu's heart. Tzuyu never rejected Nayeon because she thought it would be rude but she never knew how it made Sana feel. Sana was jealous, extremely jealous and this is when Dahyun came into the picture. Kind of like revenge, Sana tried to make Tzuyu jealous but took it too far. Tzuyu kissed Nayeon's cheek once, Sana kisses Dahyun's cheek nonstop. Tzuyu hugs Nayeon once, Sana hugs Dahyun nonstop.

Tzuyu never had the courage to confront Sana about it and Sana was too prideful to say anything to Sana. Slowly, they started to drift apart. More and more, they broke up without saying anything. They stopped talking at all. It were like they were strangers again.

It was the first snow.
"I want to love you but I guess we just aren't meant to be..." Tzuyu was lost in her thoughts. She was wandering the streets of Korea that were finally familiar to her and it was all thanks to Sana. She noticed the first snow and started to have flashbacks.

*Holding hands and walking while watching the cherry blossoms*

*Eating and feeding each other street food*

*Dancing together, closely*

*Going to amusement parks and dress up*

*Fighting through hard times at work*

*Doing nothing together and still having fun*

*The numerous times they embraced each other*

And so many more memories. Tzuyu's final thought was "I can't let us be strangers again."

Tzuyu rushed to Sana. She had no idea where Sana was so she sent Sana a text.

Tzuyu: Hey, we need to talk. Can you please meet me in front of JYP?

Sana was scared and happy all at the same time. She ran to Tzuyu as fast as she should, she ran carelessly. Too carelessly. Her clumsiness caught up to her, she slipped on the snow and hit her head. She was conscious but on the verge of  losing consciousness.
"Tzuyu ah, you know I love you, right?" were Sana's last thought's before she blacked out.

She woke up in a hospital bed, Tzuyu was the only one by her side.
"S-Sana. Are you okay?" Tzuyu held Sana's hand.
"Eh?" Sana tilted her head.
"I don't want to be strangers anymore." Tzuyu started tearing up.
"Who are you?" Sana asked in Japanese.
"Sana..." Tears rushing down.
"Who is this girl? Why does she care so much about me? My friend? Or even lover perhaps?" Sana thought as she looked at Tzuyu in wonder.
"She has amnesia." The doctor came in and said.
"... What?" Tzuyu asked in shock.
Sana looked back and forth between the two, unable to understand.
"She lost some of her memory. I'm not completely sure if it's temporary or permanent yet. She only lost recent memories and it's actually her brain's defense mechanism. It seems like her recent memories have been putting her through a lot of stress and pain." The doctor explained and Tzuyu thought about it....
"Stress from work and pain... from me?" Tzuyu started crying and thinking about all the times she was was with Nayeon and knew Sana was watching.
"I'm sorry. I'll love you even if you're like a stranger again."

Everyday, Tzuyu stayed next to Sana. Tzuyu started learning Japanese so she could communicate with Sana better. Tzuyu loved Sana dearly even when others stopped. Sana recognized Tzuyu's efforts and slowly fell in love with Tzuyu again. Tzuyu became closer and closer to Sana everyday. Everything Tzuyu did, brought back a little bit of Sana's memories. When Tzuyu held her hand, Sana thought of cherry blossoms. Whenever she saw street food, she wanted to feed it to Tzuyu. Whenever they danced, Sana wanted to pull Tzuyu closer. Whenever they passed an amusement park, Sana wanted to get headbands.

A year passed but Sana has regained all her memories except for ones of Tzuyu. Tzuyu never gave up and they fell in love again. It was the first snow again. Sana had an urge to kiss Tzuyu, so she did. All her memories came back like a flood.
"What is it?" Tzuyu asked concerned.
"Nothing, it's nothing." Sana ran away.
"Sana!" Tzuyu decided not to chase her because it was dangerous. "Stop running, you'll hurt yourself. I won't follow."

Sana went home and cried. "How could I ever forget her?" She thought. "I don't deserve her."

The next time they would meet was at work. Tzuyu was excited to see Sana but Sana was emotionless. Tzuyu walked towards Sana and it seemed like Sana was walking towards her but when they were face to face... Sana coldly walked past Tzuyu.
"Strangers... again?"  A tear fell down Tzuyu's face, she was shy but she knew she had to chase Sana. So she turned around, grabbed Sana's hand and said "No."
Sana was surprised because she never thought Tzuyu had courage like that.
"What?" Sana asked.
"For me, it's only you."
"What are you talking about?"
"I don't want to do this anymore. We're like strangers again! How many times do we have to be like strangers?" Tzuyu was angry.
"... Let's just stay like this then. No more back and forth." Sana was heartbroken saying those words but Tzuyu didn't accept them anyways.
"No. I love you." Tzuyu said; it was very rare of her to say it because she's shy. This time it was Sana who remained silent, "...".
"And you love me too." Tzuyu said remembering when Sana said it to her. Sana also remembered and started crying.
"I'm sorry I forgot you. I really don't deserve you." Sana bawled.
"That's okay. You can forget me all you want because we'll love each other even when we're strangers again."
