Richie must have been waiting underneath the window or something because he really did show up seconds after he typed out the last comment. Eddie stared at him with a dumbfounded expression from his bed before a huge smile broke out across his face and he ran over.

The scene played out much like it did when he exited the sewers. Eddie jumped into Richie's arms and hugged him extremely tightly. He was able to secure his legs more firmly around Richie's waist this time, however, and his eyes fluttered closed as he felt Richie kiss the tip of his nose, and then each cheek, careful to be gentle and avoid his cuts.

"You have glasses on today," Eddie murmured, a smile playing on his lips as he opened his eyes.

"I do," Richie agreed. "And I still think you're beautiful."

Eddie laughed, and together they closed the distance. It was just a gentle peck, nothing long or needy about it. It barely even lasted a second. But it was sweet, and it held everything they had been figuring out in the past few weeks that had gone unsaid through their entire friendship.

"I really do love you, 'Chee." Eddie nuzzled his face into Richie's neck as the teen sat down on the bed, shifting his arms so they were just wrapped around his partner in a warm embrace.

"I know, Eds. I really do love you, too."
