3. Running low

Me and Shawn have been together for a few months now and it has honestly been the best. I have never been so in love before in my life. He texted me earlier saying he is coming over because he needs to talk to me and honestly I don't know how I should feel because when a guy needs to talk it is never good right?
I hear a knock at my door and Shawn is there and be comes in. He grabs my hands and leads me to my couch. He takes a deep breath and begins to say " Y/N I love you with all my heart and believe me when I say I love you with all my heart. I really don't want to do this but I can't make you wait for me, I just can't."
I looked at him puzzled.
" look hun I have to go on tour for a year and I barely have any breaks. I want you have someone who will always be there for you and give you what you need. I don't want to make you wait for me because that is cruel. You can do so much in your life and if you waited for me I would be holding you back and I don't want to do that. I real hate to do this because I love you but the saying is if you love something you have to let it go. So what I'm trying to say is Y/N I'm letting you go even if it breaks me I can't do this to you."
Tears are now streaming down my face.
"Shawn I get what you are saying but you give me everything I want and more, you give me time with you and kisses and cuddles and everything Shawn that is all I need and that is what I have. Please don't do this Shawn I love you."
"Y/N I'm sorry but I can't make you wait for me. There is someone out there that is better for you then me. Someone who will give you what I have you and more. Yes this is killing me bit it's what right and I'm sorry but I can't let you do this."
At this point you were both crying.
You understood where Shawn was coming from but it was breaking your heart. You look into each others eyes and Shawn wipes your tears. He starts to lean and so do you he gives you a gently but passionate kiss. He then gets up and leaves.

A day later.....

I've been on my couch all day eating ice cream and watching romantic comedies. I honestly don't know what to do with myself anymore now that I can't see Shawn. I did everything with him. I change the channel on my tv on and I see that Shawn is on tv and doing an interview. He gets asked how things are in our realtionship and he tells everyone that he broke up with me and the reason why. I start to cry while he explains it. That night I cried myself to sleep.

A year later.....

You still had massive feelings for Shawn and was so proud of him. You heard he was back in Toronto. Aaliyah(his sister in case you didn't know) invited to u over for dinner. You hesitated but went anyway. You all had an amazing meal but you could feel Shawn stare at you all through it. You were leaving and Shawn walked you out.
"Y/N I have missed you so much and I still love you. I don't know why I let you go in the first place I should have just been selfish and kept you to myself."
You smile and he gives you a confused look. You stand of tour toes grab his neck and kiss him.
"So I guess you feel the same way Y/N?"
"Yeah I do."
"So Y/F/N (your full name) be my girlfriend again?"
"Yes I will."
You then kiss again and then he pulls you in for a massive hug.
