Me and Shawn have been in a private relationship for a couple of months now to protect me. He didn't want me to get hate and I understand that.
One day Shawn wanted to go public and we had a heated debate per say on the matter.
"Y/N can we talk?"
"Sure Shawn what's up?"
"I want to go public."
"Ok but why?"
"They all see you as my friend. Tgey all ship us anyway. Plus I want to be able to show my girl off to the world. I love you and I want to be able to show that. I want to take you out on dates in public without a care in the world. I just want to show you off. I want to do what every other normal couple does. I want something normal in my life and I want that to be with you. I want to capture all of these moments with you and be able to share it all."
"Wow. I want to aswell but Shawn I'm scared there are still fans out there that would still want me dead for being with you and I don't know if I can handle all of that."
"I get it Y/N I do but I want to do this and I will be by your side the whole entire time and I'm not going to leave you."
"I'm still not sure Shawn."
"What do I have to do to convince you? I will do anything. I just want to say I'm with you. I hate not being able to tell the world I'm in love with you and that you are mine. I want to tell it from the rooftops."
"Ok fine let's go public. I love you and you love me and that's all that matters."
"Ok I'll post about us now. Don't worry everything will be fine. Sit with me while I do it."
I sit in his lap and Shawn kisses my cheek. He puts his phone in front of us so he's showing me what he's doing.
He finishes the post and makes sure I'm ok with it before he presses post.
"Are you sure?"
"I am."
He presses post. He posted this on Twitter.

After posting we decide to not look at our phone for a few hours and just enjoy eachothers presence.
Shawn decides it's time to look and we do. Most comments are positive saying yes they are finally together or finally Shawn has a girl.
We chuckle at most. There are only a few hate comments but it doesn't matter because I'm in love with him and he's in love with me and that is all that will ever matter.
