Today is mine and Shawn's first wedding anniversary and we couldn't be happier. We have our little 1 year old Penelope who is staying at grandma Karen and grandpa Manny who she really loves.

I am also pregnant meaning we are expecting our next child and we couldn't be happier but that also meant Shawn didn't want to go out for our anniversary so the baby won't get hurt and neither will I.

He has cut down his out working at the studio for me and always wakes me up sweetly and makes sure I'm ok before he goes and quadrupole checks that I have everything I need.

At the moment I'm shopping for food with my sister Alyssa for our date night.

"Jessica did you really have to drag me here?"

"Nope. You offered to come so you can only blame yourself."

Karen and Manny said themselves they would gladly take penelope for the weekend while we celebrate and then we can have time alone.

We get home and I make food or at least prepare it. I get into a nice dress and Shawn said he was coming home in his blue suit that he knows I love.

The food is ready when Shawn comes in. I place the food on the table and light the candles.

"Hey babe I'm home."

"Hi Shawn. Come on food is ready."

We sit and eat and talk about his music and what we think the gender of our second baby is and names for that child.

When finished I go to clean up but Shawn takes the dishes from me. He picks me up and places me on the counter.

"A queen like you shouldn't have to do the dishes." He says making me chuckle. He starts washing up and is watching me while he does it.

After that he leads me into the living room.

"May I have this dance?"

"Yes you may."

He puts on our wedding song fallin all in you. I place my arms around his neck and and his go around my waist. We sway in time to the music.

We loved eachother very much and one simple action like this could express all we felt towards one another.

When that sings done lights on comes on.

"Really?" I say looking at him.

'What?" He asks trying to act all innocent.

"You know what I mean."

"I'm not suggesting something. I just know you like this song because I write it about you."

"Yeah yeah." I say chuckling whil resting my head on his shoulders. We dance a little longer before deciding to just sit down and watch some tv.

It was a simple way to spend our anniversary. But I think it was more intimate because it was just us two alone and I don't think it really mattered where we were or what we did as long as we were together. This was a great way to spend our first anniversary and I wouldn't have changed anything for the world.
