50. friend's wedding

Today is my friend Dan is getting married and he invited me and my friends to his wedding. I was happy to go because I knew that Dan thought of me as a little sister and I thought of him as my big brother and to see him get married to his partner Sam yes another guy is making me happy because he's happy.

He told me I could invite my best friend so I did and we are going together and apparently one of sams friends is performing at the wedding. I don't know who but apparently he's a worldwide singer so we shall find out.

Me and my bestie are getting ready for the wedding.

I am wearing this

And she is wearing that

She is also bringing her boyfriend along so guess who is being the third wheel. We weren't actually going to the wedding ceremony part but we were going to the party.

We all set off ready to go. Its a twenty minute journey later.

I get out of the car and see all the guests rolling up and walking into the venue. You have my bestie and her boyfriend right behind me being all couple and me being all alone.

I walk in and Dan sees me.

"Hey Y/N you are here."

"Yeah I am."

"Wow doesn't miss Y/N clean up Well look at you. You're all gorgeous."

"Thanks Dan."

"Now come over you can meet Sam and the person who is singing for us."

He says while dragging me.

"Ugh do I have to?"

"Yes you do."

"Fine."

We reach the other people and we are instantly greeted. Dan gives Sam a little kiss.

"Hey guys I want you to meet Y/N."

"Hi it's nice to meet you Y/N." Sam says holding his hand out for me to shake.

"Nice to meet you too Sam." I say shaking his hand.

"This girl right here Sam is like my little sister so I brought her over to meet you because she's like my family and seen as your my family now this girl is our family."

"Aww Dan that's sweet I never knew you thought so highly of me." I say.

"Yeah he talk about how much he loves having a kind of little sister." Sam says.

"Well Dan I like to think of you as the brother I have never had and both of you congratulations."

"Thank you." They both say at the same time.

Sms pulls me over. "Oh Y/N this is my friend Shawn who is also performing today."

I look up and my eyes meet a certain brown pair. I look at him properly and realise that's Shawn Mendes. He is so handsome.

"Cool." I say.

"Nice to meet you Y/N."

"Nice to meet you too Shawn." I say shaking his hand.

"Y/N." I hear being yelled.

I turn my head and see my bestie shouting my name. She looks like she is crying.

"I'll be right back." I say then walk off.

"Hey what's up."

"H..He cheated on me."

"That son of a b....." I get cut off by her.

"Don't say anything about him I want to get wasted and want to forget him can we make that happen?"

"Yeah we can come on." I say dragging her over to Dan and Dan and Shawn.

"I'm back and I brought a friend."

"Hey (your best friend name) everything alright?"

I answer for her.

"Yeah she just wants to drink." Everyone laughs and we all start to ahve a drink but me and Shawn are the only ones who don't drink that much and instead talk.

Hours later...

I am sat on my own and Shawn has just finished performing and my best friend went home with some random guy.

Dan and sam were out on the dance floor loving their best life and I was here looking down at my fingers not knowing what to do with myself.

"Hey." I hear and I look up.

"Hi."

"Why you sat all alone?"

"My best friend went off with some random guy and I don't know anyone here but dan and Sam."

"That's not fully true."

"What?"

"You know me Y/N."

"True." I say chuckling a little.

"Do you maybe erm... wanna dance?" He says nervously holding his hand out.

"Sure why not?" I say smiling at him and taking his hand.

As soon as we get up a slow song starts playing. Typical.

He puts his hands on my waist and I wrap my arms around his neck. We start swaying to the song. I look over at Dan and sam and see them smiling at me. That's when I knew they set this whole thing up so that I met Shawn and got us together.

I'll admit I had a good time talking to him and he seems like a good guy and he's not bad looking on the eyes.

He starts talking.

"I know we just met but I was wondering do you maybe want to go on a date sometime?"

"Yeah sure I'd love too."

"Great how does tomorrow sound?"

"It sounds perfect."

After that he walked me home and the next day went on a date. After that we started dating and I was pretty sure I found my soul mate.  All thanks to Dan and sam.

We started off a romance at a friend's wedding. What a story to tell.
