My best friend Olivia is dragging me to a new years party. I am not really a party kind of person. She's dragging me there and convinced me to go. Also I know my friend Shawn will be there and I kinda like him. I kinda want him to be my new years kiss but I don't think it will happen. I don't think he likes me.
We get there and it's not like every other party which has loads of people this just a friend get together which makes me feel better about this party I was brought too.
Olivia leaves me straight away for her boyfriend and instantly starts making out with him. I don't need to see that so I walk away.
I see some of my girls so I walk over to them and when I do I see that we are right in the eyeline of Shawn. I look over and I see he is staring at me. He notices I've seen him and smiles so I smile back.

He looks so handsome not gonna lie he looks pretty sexy too. My friends notice that I'm looking towards Shawn and start picking on me about it. I just laugh it off.
Shawn looks at me and honestly I don't know if he feels this right now but I'm feeling some sort of attraction towards him.
Olivia comes back and we start heading towards the kitchen to get a drink and Shawn's there leaning on the counter with a drunk in his hand.
He sees me and instantly smiles.
"Hey Y/N." He says.
"Hi Shawn."
"You enjoying the party?"
"Yeah are you?"
"Yeah I guess. I mean Brian and all them have kinda ditched me for some girls so you know I'm kinda lonely but.."
"Shawn do you maybe wanna hang out with me and Olivia? You don't have to it was just.."
He cuts me off.
"I'd love too."
Me and Olivia grab our drinks then the three of us to sit on the sofa. Next to olivia's boyfriend.
Me and Shawn sit down next to him and Olivia sits on her boyfriends lap and they instantly start kissing.
Me and Shawn are grossed out. We talk for a little until he says.
"Hey do you wanna go out on the balcony where it is quiet?"
"Yeah."
He gets up and holds his hand out to me. I take his hand and he leads me towards the balcony and closes the balcony door behind us.
I check my phone to see the time and it's almost midnight meaning fireworks will go off soon.
"God the stars are out and they are so beautiful."
"It's not the only beautiful thing here." Shawn says looking at me.
I look away blushing.
"So why did you want to come out here?" I ask him.
"Well it was loud in there and I couldn't hear you very well."
"Oh ok."
After that we don't say anything and it is just silence and not the comfortable time.
I hear everyone yelling it's one minute until midnight.
In that moment Shawn pulled me by my waist and kissed me.
It was magical and a good way to start off 2019.
We both pulled away.
"Wow." I say.
"Yeah wow." Shawn says scratching the back of his neck nervously.
"Oh fuck it." I say
I grab his face and kiss him again. He instantly kisses back. We are there making out on a balcony but we didn't care all that we cared about right then was eachother. It would have gone further if someone didn't like the doors. As soon as we heard it we leapt off of eachother.
We both walked back into the room but went out separate ways on either end if the room.
He was still looking at me and I was looking at him. He then gets his phone out.
My phone beeps.
Shawn~ wanna get out of here?
I look up at him and he's biting his lip.
I nod at him.
We meet at the entrance and before we go he stops me.
"Hey Y/N do you wanna maybe be my um.. girlfriend?"
"Yes." Then I give him a quick peck on the cheek.
He grabs my hand and we get in his car.
We go back to his place and that morning was full of love making.
