47. boxer

Today Shawn was doing a boxing match against the son who's dad killed his. I didn't want him to take the fight coz I knew this was going to end bad and I don't want to see my best friend hurt like a lot that could turn into life threatening but I'm supporting him anyway. Reasons for why i dont want to see him hurt it hurts me to see him like that and I really like him more than a friend should and I want him to be safe.

The fight takes place and I'm bricking it. He seems so sure he's gonna win but me and his team especially his manager Andrew don't think he's gonna win.

Honestly I know what you are thinking why don't you think he is going to win. You should think he's going to win. His opponent it twice the size of the body build of Shawn and taller.

His opponent Drago stepped into the ring and then in came Shawn. I saw him and gave him a smile he gave one back. Then stepped into the ring the bell was called. They started to fight and Shawn got hit straight away in the face.

They are going at eachother but Shawn is losing dramatically and being beaten to the brim. The next few rounds are hard to watch. Shawn is bleeding all over the place. Andrew wants to call off the fight and forefit but Shawn doesn't and no one wants to argue with an angry Shawn.

The round starts and he gets knocked down straight away but he's not moving. I run over to him and see Andrew next to him. We are all screaming for help.

2 hours later...

He's lying on a hospital bed all bandaged up and all I can think is why didn't I stop him? This is all my fault I knew he would get hurt so yet I didn't stop it.

He wakes up.

"Hey how are you feeling?"

"Awful but ya know I have you by my side." He says smiling at me.

"You know you should have stopped the fight right. Look where you ended up Shawn."

"I know and I didn't want it to get that far and I'm sorry Y/N I didn't mean to hurt you."

"I know I'm just trying to look out for you."

"I know hun I know."

Hours later he got discharged from hospital.

I help him around and we just watch some movies and then fall asleep.

4 months later...

Shawn was fully recovered and started training again but differently because he's fighting Drago again.

I want to stop him but he's determined so I support. This training is harder than before but he can do it. This time I think he might have a shot at winning.

After weeks and weeks of training he's getting ready to go back in the ring.

I'm waiting for him to walk in where as Drago is already in. A few minutes later and Shawn walks in ready to fight.

And the fight begins and I'm hanging on the edge of me seat again Andrew is reassuring me everything is going to be ok.

Shawn's going strong and manages to get through to the final fight and he's crushing Drago.

Pretend this is Shawn..

Drago's dad throws in a white towel showing that he gives up and forefits.

This meaning Shawn won.

He fell onto his knees while the crowd cheers for him.

I run onto the ring and crouch down to his level taking his face into my hands.

"Shawn you did it."

"Yeah I did."

He says while looking into my eyes. We both stand up and he gets Josiah to take his gloves off.

When his gloves are off he walks over to me and grabs me by the waist and kisses me putting his hands up on my cheeks. I kiss back instantly.

This makes the crowd cheer louder.

He pulls away and then he has to go for interviews. I am shocked as he walks away. While doing his interviews he takes a few looks at me smiling.

He's done with the interviews and walks back over grabs my hand and pulls me I to his dressing room.

"Y/N I know this isn't romantic but will you go out with me?"

"Yeah I will Mr champion of the world."

"You don't know how long i have wanted you to be mine."

"Trust me champ the feeling was mutual."

He chuckles slightly putting a shirt on.

"I'm proud of you today Shawn. I really am."

"Thank you that means a lot now do you want to go home and watch some movies on the couch?" He says holding his hand out.

I take his hand and say yes.

Who knew his fighting would bring us together.
