20. date

I was with my friends Jess, Olivia and Cara at lunch today. School was very loud today. We have friends Matt, Brian, Ian and Shawn but they are sat on a different table to us. We can see the guys looking over at us and we are all getting confused as to why they are staring at us.

Shawn walks over.

"Hey girls" he says cheerfully.  We all sat hi back.

"So Y/N I was wondering..." I notice as he starts to say this he starts playing with the ring on his finger and I know when he does that he is nervous.

"Yes Shawn?"

"I was um... wondering if you would like to go on a date with me tonight?"

"Yeah sure I would love too."

"You would? Ok so I'll pick you up at 7 dress how you normally would so I mean comfortable clothes."

"Ok see you then."

"See ya."

He walks off. The girls start squealing.

"Oh my god Y/N Shawn asked you on a date."

"Yeah I know I've never been on a date before."

"Don't worry I'm sure that everything will be ok. You will be fine plus we will help you on picking a cute casual date outfit."

"Thanks guys I don't know what I would do without you."

A couple of hours later.....

The girls are helping me get ready. It took us half an hour to pick the perfect outfit out and I hope it was worth it and that Shawn likes my outfit.in the end we picked this outfit.

The girls have now left and I'm sat here waiting nervously for Shawn.

I hear a knock on the door. I get up and open it. He looks amazing. I mean be doesn't even have to try and he looks handsome. He's wearing a hoodie and his signature black jeans. He looks cute.

"Hey Y/N are you ready to go?"

"Yeah."

"You look great by the way."

"Thanks Shawn you don't look so bad yourself."

We talk for a while. He made me laugh a lot. There was a silence but it was a nice silence. Shawn took my hand in his and we walked a little further till I see bright lights. My eyes lit up.

"Shawn you didn't?"

"Oh I did I know how much you love carnivals. So wanna go check it out?"

I drag his hand and pull him through the gates for the carnival. It makes him chuckle.

I drag him to the line for the Ferris wheel.
We talk more and then we get into our cart for the Ferris wheel.

"The view is beautiful."

"Yeah it is Y/N but it's not the only beautiful thing I see."

I blush. "Wow Mendes smooth, very smooth." That makes us both laugh.

The ride finishes. He takes my hand again. "Y/N I'm going to win you a teddy bear."

Funnily enough he wins me a teddy bear. We start walking back and we walk through the park.

"Shawn can I go on the swing?"

"Yeah of course you can. Do you want me to push you?"

"Yeah if you don't mind."

"Of course I don't."

I sit on the swing and Shawn starts to push me. He stops pushing me and I stay sat on the swing. I look up at notice he was staring at me. Our eyes met and he started leaning in and so did I. He missed me and I kissed him back. It was a soft sweet kiss. His lips were so soft. We both pulled away.

I smile at him and he smiles back.
"So Y/N will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yeah of course I will."

We kiss again. Then I get up and he walks me home.

"Thanks for tonight Shawn. I had a great time."

"Me too I'm glad you said yes."

He puts his hands around my waist.

"I'm glad I said yes aswell."

He leans in and we kiss again.

"Goodnight Y/N."

"Goodnight Shawn."

I walk up the path and open my door and as soon as I close it I lean against the door. Tonight was fun. I really like Shawn. Tonight was a night go remember.
