137. operation

Today I have to go and get an operation on my knee. Even though it isn't life threatening I'm still very scared. My best friend Shawn is taking me and going with me he said he'd be there every step of the way.

We were in a taxi and I was just a mess right now my leg was bobbing up and down and I was biting my nails in nervousness.

Shawn noticed my antics and took my hand and squeezed it.

"Look Y/N You will be fine I promise you. It's just for the knee and it won't take long. Plus I'm going to be there waiting for you to get out so I won't be that far away."

"I know and I'm so happy you are going to be there but Shawn this is the first operation I am ever having and I'm so scared."

"I know but you are so brave ok and plus after this is all done the results will be no more knee pain and problems with the knee."

"Yeah I guess so." I say looking away from him.

He pulls me head to face him.

"You will be fine ok."

He takes off his ring and places it onto my finger.

"Why have you out your ring on my finger?"

"That way you have a piece of me with you during the operation and it's sort of like I'm there it might put your mind at ease a little bit."

"Shawn you are amazing thank you this means a lot."

"I know now let's just get there and get this over with for you." He says then kisses the top of my head.

We get there and I go in. Before I do Shawn gives me the biggest of hugs and then let's me go so I can go through.

While waiting to be put to sleep I messed with the ring that Shawn put on my finger. After a few minutes I feel my eyes getting heavy then all I see is darkness.

After the operation.....

I open my eyes to a bright light and adjust to the light. Once i adjust I look to my left to see Shawn sat there.

"Hey princess you finally woke up. "

"I did."

I move up on my hospital bed and letting it so Shawn will get in next to me.

He sits next to me and wraps his arms around me.

We stay like that for a while and it's amazing I feel so safe in his arms.

"So Y/N did the ring work?"

"Yeah it did it really put me at ease it was the last thing I looked at before I fell asleep. "

"Aww I love you, you know that right."

"Yeah I do Shawn. And I love you too."

"No you don't get it Y/N I'm in love with you."

"Shawn I'm in love with you too."

"You are?"

"I always have been Shawn why do you think having your ring put me at ease so easily."

He just smiles at me and doesn't say anything.

I see him slowly start leaning in so I do too and somewhere in the middle our lips meet and gently move together in sync.

We pull away and just stare at ecahother.

"Y/N will you be mine?"

"Yes I will." I say then kiss him again.

I pull away.

"So you want your ring back?"

"Nope you can keep it now it's all yours just like me heart is."

I kiss him again. The doctor comes in and gives me the all clear to go home. I'll be in a wheelchair and on crutches for a couple of weeks but Shawn said he would look after me.

We get home and me and Shawn cuddle up in my bed watching Harry potter together.

I fell asleep peacefully in his arms.
