127. future

I've been thinking about what my future holds recently. I mean me and Shawn my boyfriend have been together for a good 7 years now and I am wondering when we will take the next step.

I decide to talk with Shawn once he gets home which won't be long.

I'm nervous to say something but if i don't then I won't know where we are heading to, if there is a future for us.

He walks in and sees me and instantly smiles at me.

"Hey princess." He says walking over and pecking me on the lips.

"Hey Shawn can we talk?"

"Yeah of course hun what's wrong?" He says sitting down next to me.

"Where are we going?"

"What do you mean?" He asked giving me a confused look.

"Where are we heading in this relationship. We have been together for 7 years and I just want to know what's happening next with us because we've been living together for 3 years and I just want to know if you see me in your future and whether you want the commitment I want."

"Oh Y/N of course I see you in my future. You are my future why would you think you wouldn't be in my future?"

"Because we have been together for 7 years and all we have done is move in together. I love you I do but if we are going no where then I have to leave."

"Y/N Babe I do see you in my future. We are going somewhere. When I picture my future I picture me and you in a house with our children. I see you in a white dress walking down the aisle towards me and we say I do in front of our families. Then on our honeymoon I show you just how much I love you. "

"Shawn I don't know what to say I'm so sorry."

"Its honestly fine I get where you are coming from. I was trying to think of a perfect way to do this and make it special but I might aswell do this now."
He says getting a velvet box out of his pocket and gets down on one knee.

My hands to over my mouth in shock.

"I know it took me ages to actually do this but I wanted to make sure it's perfect but now I see that it doesn't matter where and how I do this as long as I am with you. I love you so so much and I want you to take my last name and become a Mendes. It would mean the world to me if you took my last name. I have waited forever for this moment because as soon as I net you I knew I would be doing this one day and not to someone else it has always been you. You and no one else. My love for you is stronger than any love I have for anyone else. The only person or people I could possibly love more than you is when we have children. We will have little me's and little yous running around the house and I wouldn't have it any other way. You are my rock and my reason if living and with out you I am nothing so what do you say will you make me the happiest man alive and become my Mrs Mendes. Will you marry me?"

By now I was in tears and couldn't speak I nodded and kneeled down in front of him. He said the ring onto my finger and then we hugged when we back away from the hug Shawn connected our lips together in a passionate kiss.

I love you He said against my lips. I said it back and while saying all of this we never broke the kiss.

We pull apart.

"I love you princess."

"I love you too my Prince."
