168. letting go

For years I was bullied growing up and well that all changed when I got into high school well kind of anyway. When I first started at high school my life was well a living hell until I joined the glee club and I know it sounds nerdy but it's got me to where I am today. Anyways as I was saying I met some pretty interesting and amazing people and it's also where I met shawn my boyfriend. He has changed a lot since I met him but in a good way.

Today me, shawn and our friend kurt are going to open our letters we have gotten from colleges in New York. We all applied to colleges in New York because we all had this dream that we would all live together in New York. We all meet up in the choir room with our letters.

"Hey guys are you ready?" I ask them.

"No can we just wait please?" Shawn says.

"How long for?" Kurt asks.

"Forever."

"I know shawn I don't want to either but this our future we are talking about." I say hugging him. He packs me on the lips and lets go of me and grabs his letter.

"I'll go first." He says.

He opens the letter and quickly reads through and starts talking quietly.

"Shawn Mendes I regret to inform you that you didn't get in to the programme."

"Shawn I'm so-"

"Will someone please just open their letter." He says cutting me off.

"I'll go next." Kurt says.

He opens his letter, reads through and places it down.

"I didn't get it. Y/N you open yours."

I open mine and read through.

"I got in."

They both hug me and say that's great I pull away from them both.

"No it's not because you guys wint be coming with me. I'll deter my admission for a year so I can help you both we your auditions and we can go together next year."

"We can't let you do that Y/N this is your dream to be in this prestigious performing arts school. You have to go."

"No I'm not going without you guys my dream is to be there with you guys. End of discussion."

They don't say anything else but we all hug. Kurt leaves to go see his boyfriend and me and shawn stay in the choir room. We sit down and I rest my head on his shoulder and his head resting on mine. He intertwines our hands.

"You have to go this is your dream."

"It may be that way shawn but I don't want to do this if you are not by my side."

"I know baby girl."

I look at him and kiss him.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you to Y/N more than anything in this world." He says then kisses my head.

We get up and walk hand in hand out of school.

"Hey you up for a date in a couple of days?" Shawn asks me.

"Of course."

"Awesome."

A few days later.....

I was getting ready for mine and Shawn's date we were going to mine and Shawn's favourite place.
