So me and my boyfriend Shawn are heading home for a special celebration. I was pregnant and we were having a gender reveal party down in Toronto. We were in New York but we have pretty much just got back from New York and we are now heading to the party up at my aunties open field.
We found out 2 months back that I was pregnant. We were really happy. I mean we didn't expect it but we were so happy and we both were over the moon with excitement.
I mean we were both scared but our parents reassured us that we we would be great parents and that we have nothing to worry about.
We get there and we are instantly greeted by both of our parents. We hung them all then they take us through all of our family and they all say their congratulations.
Me and Shawn take a time out to have some time out for our big reveal of what gender baby we are having.
"Hey Shelby are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm just overwhelmed with all of the attention you I don't really like being the centre of attention."
"I know baby but it will all be worth it in the end to find out what this little bean is going to be." He says wrapping his arms around me and rubbing my belly then kissing my cheek.
"Hey guys we are going to reveal in a few minutes if you want to come over." My mum says.
"Yeah we will be there in a minute." Shawn says.
My mum walks away.
"You ready baby?" He asks.
"Yeah let's go."
We get given a special big balloon to pop together to find out.
"So we are all gathered here today to reveal the gender of Shelby and Shawn's baby. If you are all ready to blast the confetti cannons and pop the balloons in 3.....2.....1...."

The sound of confetti cannons and balloon popping goes off.
The colour that comes out is pink.
We are having a girl.
"Well baby girl looks like we are having a little princess." He says smiling and taking my hand.
"Yeah we are."
"I love you Shelby."
"I love you too Shawn."
He then leans down and kisses me. The kiss is soft and sweet and everyone is awwing at the sight of us.

I couldn't be more happy right now. I am going to have a little girl. I'm so excited to have my little girl.
Then I will have a family of my own me, Shawn and our little girl skylar.
