41. catching feelings

Me and this guy called Shawn every now and then or should I say most of the time hook up. After the first time we hooked we wanted to carry on but we set some ground rules.

1. No catching feelings.

2. If one of us gets a boyfriend/girlfriend we put this on hold.

These are the only two rules we had. These rules were easy to follow at first but now they get harder and harder to follow and I mean the first rule.

We have been doing this for the past couple of months and I have caught feelings. I couldn't help it. He's handsome and I see him everyday either at school, my house or his house.

My friends aren't surprised I have caught feelings. They knew the arrangement from the beginning and knew I was going to catch feelings. They said it was inevitable but I didn't believe them. I should have listened and then I wouldn't be in the mess.

We recently stopped this whole thing because Shawn found a girl and honestly it is making me so jealous. I want to be that girl. I want to be his be we know that isn't going to happen any time soon.

Shawn P.O.V

I met this girl and I thought I like her bit anytime we go to do something I either imagine Y/N or think damn she's not Y/N this doesn't feel right or Y/N is better than that. I don't know why I am thinking these things but I am.

I mean this girl isn't making me feel the way Y/N does. She's not getting me excited. I stopped seeing Y/N for her and I think I made a mistake. I think I caught feelings for Y/N I shouldn't have but I did.

I always see her round school and I go to say something but she turns and walks away before I can reach her. I don't know why, maybe jealousy. I kinda hope it's jealousy that way I can kind of hope she likes me too. I need to tell the girl in with it's over.

"Hey random girl name I'm going to have to break up with you."

"Ok Shawn I understand."

"You do?"

"Yeah I knew you and Y/N had a thing going on before you met me and I see the way you look at her you like her plus I was using you to get my ex back and it worked so thanks bye."

And then she leaves.

I'm shocked and slightly hurt she used me but I'm glad we are done and she wasn't wrong about me liking Y/N. Now I can go get her. I hope she wants me as much as I want her.

Y/N P.O.V

I have done nothing but binge tv shows on Netflix since the whole Shawn going off with some other girl because it got me upset and jealous that I didn't want to go out. I'm upstairs in my room when I hear the door knock so I run down stairs to open it.

When I open the door Shawn is standing there. The sunlight shining on him. God he is so handsome.

"Hi Y/N."

"Hi Shawn."

"Can we talk?"

"Sure come on in."

He walks through the door and we walk up to my room. I sit on my bed and he stays standing up. I just look at the floor until he says something.

"I broke it off with her."

"Oh ok."

"Don't you want to know the reason why?"

"Is it my business to know?"

"Well yeah."

"Ok then when did you break it off with her?"

"I broke it off because I couldn't stop thinking about you."

"What?"

"Yeah I couldn't get you off my mind anything we tried to do I couldn't get into it because I thought about you and the way you did stuff she didn't compare. She wasn't you."

"Ok..." I say kind of shocked.

"Y/N What I am trying to say is I broke rule number one and caught feelings for you."

I just started in shock. He caught feelings for me too.

"This is the time where you say something." He says laughingnervously and sratching the back of his neck.

I decide not to say anything but stand up  and walk over to him. He has a confused look on his face. I put arms round his neck and kiss him. This kiss is different between us. This kiss isn't full of desire it's full of love and passion. He pulls away first.

"So does that mean you like me?"

"Yes seeing you with that other girl killed me I wanted to be that girl. I didn't realise I liked you until we had to stop seeing eachother. That's the reason I avoided you or ignored you when you tried to talk to me. I liked you and I knew I shouldn't so I couldn't talk to you."

"Aww you were jealous." He says with a smirk on his face.

"Possibly."

"Well hun you don't need to be anymore because you are all that I want."

"Good because you are mine."

"Ok so let's make this official Y/N will you go out with me?"

"Yes." And then I kiss him again.

He deepens the kiss and moves us towards the bed. I end up hitting the end of my bed and falling onto my bed with Shawn falling on top of me but we don't break the kiss.

We end up having a full make out session but we stop when we hear my mum come through the front door. Shawn goes to hide in my bathroom. My mum comes in and says she's going out on a business trip and won't be home for a week. After she leaves Shawn comes out.

"So can we carry on with what we were doing?" He says while kissing my neck.

"I'm sorry but my mum ruined the moment."

"Ok that's fair so want to watch a movie?"

"Sure."

We cuddle up in my bed and watch a movie. Who knew simple hook ups would turn into a relationship?
