38. holiday

Me and Shawn are best friends and he decided we are going to go on a road trip with two of of our other friends.
Apparently he has planned this all put and all that needs to happen is us to go with him. He said everything has been paid for so free trip.

We are going to Wales (Sorry it's where I am rn on holiday so I just chose here change the place if you want). Wales is beautiful it has a lot of hilly areas and the best walks in the woods and you can go see waterfalls.

So far on this trip we have all had fun but it's mainly been all of us sat inside all cozied up with snacks and in warm clothes. Our two other friends have ventured out a lot mainly coz they are dating so they want their alone time.

Shawn told me he is taking me out for a walk today just the two of us and he has something special planned. I wear comfy and cosy clothes on 1. Because Shawn told me to and 2. Because it looks cold out so I'm gonna put a hoodie on.

I put my boots on and so does Shawn.

"You ready to go Y/N?"

"Yeah."

"Ok let's go then." He says grabbing my hand.

"Have fun guys." We hear coming from the living room.

"We will." Shawn says back and then we are off on our adventure.

Honestly I really want to know what Shawn has planned for us. He can plan some really fun things and something's he plans are really sweet. I am happy me and him get to go on an adventure together because so far we haven't been out the house yet properly and also because I like spending time with Shawn.

I forgot to mention that I like Shawn more than a best friend should but I can't help it. You can't stop yourself from falling for someone it just happens.

I don't know if he feels the same way. I hope he does but it's doubtful.

We have been walking for 15 minutes now and we have been talking and laughing and not once has Shawn let go of my hand. But then again I am cold and his hands are warm. We get to a bridge and before I can step on to walk he stops me.

"Y/N before we go any further I am going to blind fold you because I don't want you to see where we are going because it took me ages to plan this and actually do it so I don't want to spoil the surprise by you seeing it. If that makes any sense." He says nervously. Why is he nervous?

"It does make sense ok Shawn. Let's get one thing straight if you are going to blind fold me. I am trusting you to guide me, make sure i don't fall or bump into anything otherwise I am going to hit you and blame you if I get hurt got it Mendes."

"Yeah I think I got it." He says while chuckling.

He's guiding me across pretty well.

About a couple of minutes later we come to a stop.

He takes my blindfold off and I'm in awe.

"So do you like it?" He says scratching the back of his neck nervously.

"Like it.....I love it Shawn."

"Cool so do you want to sit down?"

"Yeah."

He has set up a little picnic for us both right by a beautiful waterfall. It was so beautiful but why did he go through all that effort for me?

We sit down and eat and talk for a little bit and then I decide to lie down.

"Why you lying down?"

"I'm looking at the clouds you know, to what shapes the clouds are."

"That's cool I'll lie down next to you."

He comes and lies down right next to me on the blanket. We are just looking up at the sky peacefully when he intertwined our hands together.

"Y/N?"

"Yeah?"

"Can i tell you something?" Be says while sitting up making me sit up.

"Yeah sure."

"Ok." He says while standing up.

"So Y/N I have liked you for a while now and I just needed to tell you and that's why I planned this whole thing out. I really really like you and I don't want to mess up our friendship but I just had to tell you. Anytime anyone mentions your name I instantly get nervous and my eyes light up. Anytime I see you all I want to do is kiss you. I really like you." As soon as he says that he walks away just a little.

"Shawn..." I say while standing up.

I walk over to him. And turn his round to face me keeping my hand on his cheek. I get onto my tiptoes and kiss him. He's shocked at first but then kisses me back putting his arms around my waist. We kiss for like another minute. I take my hand off his cheek and wrap them around his waist.

"Shawn I have liked you for a while too. And everything you said is mutual. That's the way I feel about you too."

He smiles at me and I smile back.

"So Y/N do you want to be my princess?"

"Yes but only if you are my Prince."

"We have a deal then."

"Yes we do." I say while putting my arms around his neck and kissing him again.

We walk back to the house we are staying in and cuddle up watching movies by the fire.
