52. blind date

So today I am going on the tv show and hopefully being paired up with a guy and going on a date with them. I hope the guy has a good personality and some good looks. I am being forced to go on this tv show by my best friend because she thinks I have been single for too long and that I need someone as soon as possible.

Me and two other girls get introduced on by the host Paul o'grady. We each tell him and the audience our names and where we come from and a little bit about ourselves.

After all of that he goes to the other side of the room and a wall is moved so we can no longer see him and he then introduces the guy who has come on this show also to find a date.

The crowd reacts louder than I have ever seen this audience on this show before so that's a good sign right?

I hear him talk and I can't help but think that he sounds vaguely familiar.

He starts asking questions and all three of us reply with flirty questions. Although when I say mine he seems to be happy with my answers the most so I hope he chooses me.

After 2 more questions he is ready to pick. I'm number 2 so pray he picks that number.

"Alright Shawn you ready to pick?"

"Yeah."

"So who you going for?"

"I'm going to go for number 2."

Oh my god that's me. He chose me. Wow, I'm so happy.

He meets the two other girls and then the wall gets pulled back and I am greeted with no other but Shawn Mendes.

We walk up to eachother and hug and he kisses me on the cheek and then either one of us either side if Paul. He took out 3 golden envelopes because inside those was out destination for our date.

Shawn says I can choose which I find really sweet. We end up going to Amsterdam.

We had a blast and got to know eachother better and has a really great time hanging out and the perfect way to end it all was with a cheeky little kiss on the lips.

We were filmed the whole time, well most of the time but that didn't stop us from being ourselves.

After we came back from Amsterdam we had to go back on the show to show and tell what happened on our trip.

We show and are sat quite close and Paul is asking whether there was any romance and Shawn is the first to answer looking at me and saying yes then I agree.

Paul is so happy that it worked out for us and asked what we had planned next.

We explain how after this Shawn is taking me out on a date and then we are seeing where it goes from there. Honestly life for me right now could not be more perfect.

Although it got better and Shawn asked me out that very night and that end us to getting married.

I think about if i said no to going on blind date I wouldn't have met the love of my life so I'm very thankful this programme. Because this show means a lot to me and Shawn now, it brought us together and I'm so thankful for it.

Blind date got us where we are and we couldn't be happier. We loved eachother so much and now we are expecting out first child.
