"Lyra Lynx Black!" Walburga admonished. "How many times do I have to tell you? Do not put bubblegum in your brother's hair!"

"About as many times as I did it, Mum," Lyra said coolly.

She watched as her nine year old younger brother pout and complain as her father, Orion, cut his black hair in attempt to take out the Forever Flavored Gum.

"And right on your last day here, too," Walburga said. "What a way to say good-bye. When I'm angry with you."

"It is good that we're saying bye, isn't it?" Sirius said loudly from the couch as he watched his Regulus' hair get cut with amusement. "Can't wait till I'm on that train."

Walburga raised her hand as if to hit him, but took a deep breath and calmed herself. She never hit her children, no matter how much she wanted to.

"Where did we go wrong, Orion?" Walbruga cried to her husband. "Druella treats Bellatrix just like we treat Sirius and Lyra - why did Bellatrix turn out perfect?"

"Oh, yes, Bella is perfect," Lyra said sarcastically. "There's just the minor drawback of her insanity."

"Do not speak of your cousin that way, Lyra!" Walburga screamed. "You would do well with taking a leaf out of her book!"

Lyra and Sirius glanced at eachother and rolled their eyes, knowing that a Bellatrix-is-perfect rant was coming on. When Walburga opened her mouth to scream, Orion held up his hand to silence her.

"It's about to be eleven, we have to go to the platform, now," Orion pointed at Sirius and Lyra. "You two; get your trunks. And Regulus, get your shoes on."

Lyra and Sirius practically ran out of the room and up the many stairs. When Lyra stopped at the fourth door, Sirius kept running up to his bedroom; which everyone agreed should be as far away from the rest of the family as possible because he's a loud snorer. Lyra knew he faked snoring on purpose, though.

Lyra opened her bedroom door and was once again met with the sight of green walls and silver framed portraits of painted snakes and important people in the Black family. Lyra gagged reflexivley and ran to her trunk.

Her room was fairly big, but not as big as Sirius', but not as small as Regulus'. Her dresser was a light brown and her bed had green sheets. Slytherin, that's the house her whole family got into. That's what Lyra was secretly frightrened of. What if she ended up in Slytherin and everyone thought that she was just like her family?

Truthfully, the only members of her family she was fond of was Andromeda, her cousin, who even though she was nice ended up in Slytherin. Then there was her twin brother Sirius, who was just like her in every way. Then there was her uncle Alphard, who always slipped her candy secretly before dinner. Those were the only ones she liked, the only decent ones.

Lyra picked up her trunk easily and rolled it out of her room. Even though she went to her room first, she saw Sirius whip by her with his trunk banging on each step. Sirius was much faster and stronger then her.

Lyra laughed and ran down the steps too, making sure her trunk made as much noise as possible to annoy her parents. When she reached the last step she saw her family standing by the doorway, Regulus looked rediculus with his hair cut.

Lyra snorted and stood beside her twin brother.

"Ready?" Orion didn't wait for an answer. "Let's go."

Sirius rolled his eyes and together, the family walked outside into the sun and went to their car. . .

*~*

"Bye Lyra! Bye Sirius!" Regulus said loudly, waving at his older siblings as they jumped on the train.

"Little git," Sirius muttered under his breath, helping Lyra put her trunk into the train.
