James, Sirius, Lyra, and Peter stood under the cloak, looking over at the Whomping Willow. They watched as Madame Promfrey crawled out of the hole, pressed the knot and scampered off to the castle.
Sirius and Lyra weren't expecting Snape to come, because if he did know what Remus was, surely he wouldn't want to get close enough to recieve a bite? Slytherins weren't known for bravery, so they never gave it a second thought.
They should've.
A dark figure in a cloak was rushing by them, and that instantly caught the four's attention.
"Is that Snivellus?" James asked incrudulously.
"I think it is," Lyra said quietly.
The four were so shocked, that they couldn't help but freeze when they saw a white hand take a wand out of its pocket and point it at the Whomping Willow.
"What does he think he's doing?" James asked, eyes wide in horror.
"Wingardium Leviosa," They heard Snape's quiet voice say while swishing and flicking his wand.
"He's going to go in the shreiking shack," Peter squiecked. "He's going to get us all in trouble!"
"How did he know about the knot?" James said, panicking. "No one but us, Dumbledore and Madame Profrey know about the knot!"
"Relax, Prongs," Sirius said, watching Snape near the hole. "He'll only get what he deserves, the nosy little git."
James didn't listen. He rushed out from under the cloak and sprinted across the lawn to the Whiomping Willow, which was as still as a normal tree. Lyra, Sirius and Peter watched Snape disapear in the hole ten seconds before James disapeared down it too.
"We should get help!" Peter squeicked, sounding very much like his rat self.
"No. . . Prongs' got him," Lyra said, sounding a little disapointed as she watched James pull out a pale Snape. "Lets go help him bring Snape to Dumbledore, he'll know what to do."
Sirius, Lyra and Peter approached the two lying on the grass, both panting.
"I knew it!" Snape was hissing in triumph. "My theory was right! That's whats wrong with Lupin - he's a werewolf!"
"There is nothing wrong with Moony," James growled, his eyes burning with hatred. "He just has a problem."
"And those nicknames!" Snape said, scrambling to his feet. "Moony - such an obvious name for a werewolf. What do the others mean? What are you?"
"That's none of your bussiness," Lyra yelled, pointing her wand at Snape. "Now get up. We're taking you to Dumbledore."
There was a loud howl and the five froze.
"The Shreking Shake isn't haunted at all!" Snape said with glee. "You five are going to be expelled for sure. Wait until everyone finds out!"
"No one is going to find out," Sirius said, also pointing his wand at Snape. "Now get up."
Snape got up slowly, an ugly smile on his face. "Maybe even a cell in Azkaban for you and your sister, too, Black. You could have killed me. Sending me into a death trap."
"You two told him about the knot in the roots?" James asked his friends, his eyes wide.
"Don't pretend that your not part of it, Potter," Snape sneered. "Got cold feet, did you? No matter, you'll get expelled too, you're hiding your pet werewolf."
Lyra's wand was suddenly under Snape chin. "Dont ever say that again if you value your life, Severes Snape." Lyra's voice had taken on an edge only a Black could achieve.
"Come on," James said uneasily. "We have to see Dumbledore. . .tell him what happened."
As they walked, Lyra looked down at her wand. "Great, now I'll have to wash all of the grease off of it."
