Lyra Blue sat in a small wooden chair that was not comfortable in any way, but then again, no one wanted the sister of a murderer comfortable.
Lyra carefully masked her face of all emotion so that it would be impossible to read what she was thinking. Minister Cornileus Fudge was sitting behind the desk across from her and her looked very nervous; he was fidgeting with his little bowler hat and kept shifting in his seat.
Lyra wasn't fond of the minister, and she wished that the desk that seperated them wasn't there, so she could give him a sharp kick in the shin and say 'grow some backbone, you spineless wimp!' But the desk was there, refraining her from kicking him at all.
And if she ever shouted then the two Aurors that stood beside him with their wands clenched in their fists would most likely stun her and claim that they thought she had lost her temper and was ready to attack.
"You sent Aurors for me, Minister?" Lyra said, her tone had polite curiousity in it, though she knew exactly why she was there.
"Er - yes, I did," Fudge seemed even more nervous, but he looked up at Lyra - only to meet her cold gaze and look back down at his lap. "You are not in trouble, so there is no need to be nervous."
Lyra refrained from scoffing. Her? Nervous? Other then the anger bubbling in her system then she was perfectly calm. It was he, the minister, who shouldn't be nervous. He was not the one without protection.
"Then what am I here for, Minister?" Lyra asked, folding her hands in her lap. The small movement made the Aurors twitch and the Minister to flinch slightly.
"You are here for questioning," Fudge seemed pleased about how calmly he said it, though Lyra would have been more impressed if the statement hadn't came out blunt. "About the whereabouts of Sirius Black."
"And why would I know of his whereabouts?" Lyra asked, raising one eyebrow slightly. She, of course, knew exactly why she was being quiestioned, but she loved watching the minister squirm. "It's not like I am one of the gaurds in Azkaban, or one of those Unspeakables."
"Because you are Sirius Black's sister," one of the Aurors in the back growled. Lyra took the tense silent that passed after that statement to study the Aurors.
The one that had spoken was much more intimidating then the other. Though he was shorter, he had large muscular arms and his eyes were coal black. His mouth was curled in disgust as he glared down at Lyra, as though she wasn't worthy of his presence.
The other was tall and spindly, he was dark skinned and he looked as though he had knobbly knees and skinny arms. Lyra guessed that he must be exetremely gifted at magic because his physical appearance wasn't scaring her.
Though the man was tall, Lyra had to be only a foot smaller then him. Lyra was used to be taller then most guys, and that was one of the reasons why she didn't have many lovers bursting through her door declaring their undying love for her. True, many boys stopped what they were doing to watch her walk by, but most of them knew that they had no chance with her. Truthfully, only a few people were taller then her.
Nick was taller then her, and that was one of the things about him that had emmidiatly caught her attention during their first date. Sirius and Remus were just as tall as her, and being the same hieght she never found it awkward to stand next to them. James had been shorter then her by a couple of inches, but it was less awkward and embarrassing to stand next to him because he had grown ever since sixth year - before that he had reached her shoulders.
Lyra saw, with deep amusement, that Fudge looked very small in his seat. His shoulders were tense and he kept on gulping quietly, his eyes were a bit larger then normal and the corners of his mouth was stiff. Lyra wondered what he would do if she stood up, so that her slender figure towered over him.
