"Bye, Claws," James said when they stepped onto the platform.
"Bye, Prongs," Lyra smiled, she turned to Sirius, who had a grim expression on his face. "Come on, Padfoot, lets go home."
Sirius snorted at the term, but followed her to where their father stood, tall and proud, but very scary. Regulus was standing next to him, smiling widely and telling him all about his days at Hogwarts that he didn't put in his letters.
"Come on," Orion said, not bothering to say hello to his two other children. "Your mother is very excited to see you again."
"I bet she is," Sirius said quietly.
"More like ready to grill us if we're still friends with Prongs," Lyra mumbled.
Regulus, who had heard them, glanced at them, then looked at their father.
"Dad, Belletrix sent me a letter yesterday-"
"Yay!" Lyra said sarcastically. "It just makes my day when a complete lunatic sends me a letter. Doesn't it?" She asked Sirius.
"Definatly," Sirius said, though his sneer said otherwise. "I wish Bella sent me a letter. Why didn't she?"
"I don't know about you, but I always get the feeling that she doesn't like me," Lyra said in mock thoughtfullness. "You know, it might have to do with the supirior look she gives me, or maybe I was imagining it."
"I definatly wasn't imagining that time she hexed me last summer," Sirius added. "I could never imagine something so painful."
"Will you two, be quiet!"Orion snapped, looking very annoyed. "As your mother says, Bellatrix is a respectable young lady, and you two should be more like her."
"No thanks," Sirius said, waving his hand airily. "I fancy staying a man."
"You will never be a man unless you grow up," Orion said, jabbing his finger at his eldest son. "You should be more like Regulus, he has alot goingfor him. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up Prefect next year!"
"Yes, he is the perfect son, isn't he?" Sirius said loudly. "But I don't much fancy hearing this speech again."
Lyra became aware of James watching with his parents and - for the first time - felt like telling Sirius to keep it down.
Orion glared at Sirius, then glanced around him. He straightened up his posture and nodded stiffly to Sirius.
"I will tell your mother about this," Orion said.
"Good, now I get to hear her lovely voice even more," Sirius said bitterly.
Orion narrowed his eyes at his oldest son, then cleared his throat and turned to Regulus, who had stood silent through the whole exchange.
"What did Bella say?" Orion asked, they started to walk again.
"She said she had great news, but she wouldn't say what it was," Regulus said, looking mildly curious. "She also said to expect her during the summer."
Lyra and Sirius signed heavily.
"Great, just another thing to dread of the summer," Lyra said quietly.
