"Thank you, Mrs. Lupin," Mr. Potter was saying. "Yes. . . yes, I'll see you tomorrow. . . thank you, and tell Remus I said hi."

Mr. Potter walked back into the family room at the same time Mrs. Potter came in with a tray of sandwhiches. She set it down on the table and Lyra, Sirius and James hurriedly took some.

"Alright," Mr. Potter said, crossing his arms and looking serious. "Mrs. Lupin has been checking in on us every day. What did you do, James?"

"Nothing," James lied.

"James," Mr. Potter said. "I know you'r worried about your mother and I but I assure you that we are fine."

James stared at his half eaten sandswhich, his hazel eyes sad.

"Promise?" James asked his dad.

"Yes, I promise that we'll be fine," Mr. Potter nodded. "It's just old age catching up on us."

James nodded slowly, not looking entirely assured but looking slightly more relaxed.

"Now go with Sirius and Lyra to go see their new house," mrs. Potter said, sipping her tea. "Lyra tells me it's beautiful."

"It is," Lyra comfirmed. "Come on, Prongs. And you have to help us with a few bags also. . ."

James rolled his eyes at Lyra and the three teens got to their feet.

"I'll see you later, Mum, Dad," James said, giving them both a kiss on the cheek.

"By Mr. and Mrs. Potter!" SIrius and Lyra called, before running up the stairs to get the bags and boxes of their stuff that their stuff that they were taking to thei new house. . . well .. . houses.

Sirius and Lyra had chosen houses that were completely identical and next to eachother. They litteraly had to walk a few feet to get to eachothers doors.

Lyra levitated the boxes whule SIirus levitated the bags. The two of them wlaked back down the stairs to wear James was waiting, looking up at them expectantly.

"We're apparating," Lyra explained. "It'll be quicker and more fun."

"It makes me sick," James said, frowning.

"Close your eyes," Sirius informed him. "It makes me less dizzy like that."

"I tried that," James said, trying to rip himself out of Lyra and Sirius' grip as they bothgrabbed his shoulders.

And with a spin, the three of them apparated away.

When Lyra opened her eyes again she seen a brilliant scene in front of her. There were two houses that both looked exactly alike.

They were really simple, but that was what made Lyra love them so much. The were made out a a kind of grey wood with a pinted roof that was similar to Hogwarts' and they had a porchwith a porch swing and cament sidewalks that went out, bordering the green garden, and met eachother.

"Cute," James said with a grin. "But I wouldn't think that it was either of your styles."

"It's not," Lyra glared at Sirius. "Sirius wanted to pick some mideval house that had skulls as doorknobs and fake wooden bones as window seals. I refused to live in a house that looked as though were were cannibals."

"It was better then the one you wanted to live in," SIrius said, also glaring at Lyra. "You wanted to live in that - as the Muggles would say - 'gothic' house that was painted black and had dead grass surrounding it. It looked like our mother's house but - and I can't believe I'm saying this - even more evil!"

Lyra gasped and raised her wand to hex Sirius but James lowered her hand. "So how does mideval house and gothic house become simple house?"

"We have no idea," Lyra and Sirius said at the same time.

"We wanted to get only one house," Lyra explained. "to share you know? But since we couldn't agree on anything I decided that we could get two and we could decorate each house however we wished."

"Have fun with that," James said, looking slightly desturbed as he thought about how his friends houses would look. "Where do you want the boxes."

"Sirius' living room," Lyra said, leading James to the left house. "We're doing his house first so that he won't pout and wine like a baby while doing my house."

"Oy," Sirius said, offended. James laughed.

"Well, good luck with living this close to eachother in totaly differant houses."

"Thanks," Sirius and Lyra both said at the same time.
