"You should just forgive him, Moony," James said to Remus.
He, Remus, Lyra, and Peter were sitting in the Gryffidnor common room at the table in the corner of the room, doing their homework.
"You should," Lyra added, tired of seeing her indifferant brother so lonely. "It's been a month, it's almost the end of the school year and he's really sorry."
Remus' face stood stone cold, the face he always made whenever they begged him to say sorry to Sirius. The school was noticing the problems between the five friends too, because that was all they spoke about.
There were rediculous rumors running around the school too, none of them close to what really happened. Lyra even heard a rumor in the girls bathroom, and the girls were way off. Some girls thought that the problem was between Sirius and James - because no one expected Remus to cause any kind of trouble - they thought that Sirius kissed Evans, so James wasn't speaking to him.
That rumor was instantly proved wrong, because when they started asking Evans this, she started to flip out, saying that she would never kiss 'a concieted toerags best friend'.
"You don't really want to leave back home without making it up, do you?" James asked.
"He promised he would never do something that stupid ever agin," Lyra said, though she didn't add that Sirius said 'but the slimy git deserved it'.
"Fine," Remus said, after a deep sign.
Lyra, James, and Peter watched Remjus go up to Sirius, who was sitting alone in the back of the common room. Remus started talking and Sirius' face lifted into a smile. They hugged and began a conversation.
"You know what I don't get?" Lyra said thoughtfully, watching her brother and friend talk to eachother as though nothing ever happened. "Why wasn't Moony mad at me? I mean, I was in on the prank too."
"You're a girl, Claws," Peter said in a matter-of-fact voice, which he never had before. "Remus would never yell at you."
Lyra glared. "So why was he mad at you, Wormtail, when you ate his chocolate?"
Peter looked confused. "I'm not a girl."
"You sure about that?" Lyra said. James laughed.
"Yes, yes I'm sure," Peter still looked confusaed.
"How daft are you, Wormtail?" James said impateintly. "She called you a girl."
"But I'm not." Peter mumbled.
James and Lyra rolled their eyes, exasperated and amused at their friends antics.
"Well, I'm glad I can talk to Padfoot now without being glared at," James said, leaning back in his chair. "It hasn't been the same without him."
"You never spoke to him privately?" Lyra raised one eyebrow. "Padfoot and I meet up in the kitchens all the time."
"Why didn't I thnk of that?" James said, looking upset. "I haven't been able to speak to him for two weeks."
Lyra smiled. "Well, not anymore! Us Marauders are together again."
