The yellow dresses did a huge impact on everyone, but not the one Lynx had been expecting.
"Oh, you look beautiful, darling!" Mrs. Weasley said, engulfing her in a hug. "Yellow dresses, you are ingenius."
"Eet ees perfect wiz you," Fluer said, looking Lynx up and down. "I would 'ave made you a flower girl but I zink 'aving Ginny and Gabrielle is cute. Zey are both me and Bill's leetle sisters, no?"
Ginny scowled in Fluer's direction at being called 'little'.
Lynx looked down at her dress. "Uh, thanks."
"Now I 'ave to go," Fluer said, hiking up her skirts. "I zink Bill keeps trying to get a peak at my dress."
"I'll go with you," Mrs. Weasley said. "Come along."
The two girls bustled down the hallways to Mrs. Weasley's room, where they would be attending to Fluer's make up and all that.
"It seems everyone likes our dresses," Lyra smiled at her daughter, who tried not to look disappointed.
"Why weren't they shocked?" Lynx said.
"I think they expected you to do something odd for the wedding," Lynx smoothed her daughter's hair down. "Either way, you've shocked them with the dress colors. I think they were just about to go blind."
Lynx smiled. "Have you seen Dad and Will?"
"I think they are with Bill and Arthur," Lynx said. "You can't go, Lynx. That's the guys' time."
"But I'll go deaf here," Lynx complained. And right on cue you could hear Hermione squelling. Lynx urned to be engulfed in another hug that just about squezed the life out of her.
"Lynx," Hermione said, looking breathless. She was wearing a very pretty dress that flowed right down to er ankles, and she was wearing pearly high heels. "You look lovely."
"Thanks," Lynx said. "You look beautiful."
Hermione flushed, though she looked pleased. "I worked on my hair all day."
It did look more... tame. Her usually bushy hair were silky curls now, that tumbled down her shoulders in a very pretty way.
"Good work," Lynx nodded. "What do you think Mum?"
"You look gorgous, Hermione," Lyra said, and Hermione beamed. "Have you seen Estelle?"
"She hasn't come yet," Hermione's smile slipped off her face, replaced by a very worried one. "She should have been here an hour ago..."
"She came all the way from france," Lyra reassured Hermione. "Delays are normal."
Hermione shook her head. "No. She was supposed to come from the Ministry. Her Dad works at the french ministry and he is thinking of switching to this one."
"Why would he do that?" Lynx said.
"Estelle wants to transfer to Hogwarts even though it'll be her last year," Hermione said. "She wants to be with Will."
Lynx frowned. "Oh... does Will know?"
"I would think he does," Hermione said, she still looked worried. "I'll see you later, Lynx, Mrs. Blue. I have to talk with Mrs. Weasley."
"Wait!" Lynx said as Hermione raced down the hallway. "Where's Ginny?"
"She's in her room!" Hermione said before disappearing into Mrs. Weasley's bedroom.
Lynx was already climbing up the stairs when Lyra turned.
"I'll see you at the wedding, Lynx," Lyra said. "I'm going to the Ministry. I have to check to see if Estelle is okay."
"Alright, Mum," Lynx said, then disappearing as swiftly into Ginny's room as Hermione did with Mrs. Weasley's.
